Reporter: Earlier today, a large angry mob, lead by the head policeman, journeyed to what is believed to be the headquarters for an organization devoted to monsters. What was originally meant to be a heroic moment to finally rid the city of monsters turned into a moment of tragedy and regret.
When one of the monsters emerged from the building, it was assumed that the monster would attack. In a move that shocked everyone, it said it was willing to die if it meant that the citizens would be happier. Police opened fire, presumably killing it.
The crowd, originally excited about killing a monster, showed remorse as its friends came to mourn it. Eventually, the monster reformed in a cloud of smoke, evidently still alive. The crowd erupted in celebration at the heartwarming moment when the monster and its friend hugged. It was even more touching when a young girl made her way out of the crowd to hug the monster, who hugged her back.
After this selfless act and display of emotions, protests have broken out all over the city in favor of letting monsters live. The cop that was leading the mob has not been seen since the incident.
Stay tuned when we interview the head of the local monster protection agency later today.
