But you can understand where licensing can pose a problem.

I remember back in the 80's when Hardee's restaurants sold Alvin and the Chipmunks glasses. There were 4 of them and they featured Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and the Chipettes.

***? Warner Brothers DELETED that video! I swear, it's no longer on my favorites list, I tried to access it, it said it was removed due to a copyright by Warner Bros. Enterprises, and now it HASN'T been deleted? I mean, my comments are still there and everything! Even the date was May of this year... so they deleted it, but they didn't delete it? What's up with that?

*** indeed. Commercials are supposed to be free range. They fall under the fair use laws for time, and they were used to PROMOTE something. I'd be horrified if they were able to remove a commercial. An episode of a TV show or even a segment of a TV show. No one's losing money on commercials... especially since it's free publicity, be it a past commercial or not.

One of YouTube's many glitches.

I just now remembered... they actually DO remove commercials from YouTube from time to time.

For YEARS, there was an OLD commercial on YouTube that featured M*A*S*H cast members Gary Burghoff (Radar), Larry Linville (Frank Burns), Harry Morgan (Colonel Potter), William Christopher (Father Mulcahy), Loretta Swit (Margaret), and Wayne Rogers (Trapper) selling OLD IBM computers. It recently got pulled as well. I cried.

Jello? Home computers? I miss the days where cast members on television shows endorsed products. Of course I'm not old enough to remember those day but I liked them!
