WB DOESN'T OWN the series.

They THINK they do, but they don't.

Apparently, they just simply DISTRIBUTED the series in syndication (hence why it was in reruns on Cartoon Network a long time ago).

It looks to me that now Paramount distributes the series, and I have to say, it seems to me that the episodes on this set will include episodes from the first five seasons since TVShowsOnDVD say the audio has been enhanced to stereo, and those seasons were originally recorded in mono.

That's interresting, since they do own Ruby Spears's catelloge of programs. if Plastic Man and Pac Man were to get DVD releases, they would have been through WB.

Plus, they were the ones initially considering season sets. Of course, 2 companies can have the rights to a show if 1 releases sets and one releases single episodes. Like the SHOUT/N Circle releases of various DIC cartoons. N Circle does the single disks, while Shout handled the box sets.

Though, if Paramount is getting the rights to the series, I would hope they get the message and just release season sets.

I hope this is another Fat Albert's Greatest hits type deal. They had a best of box set, and then started to transistion to season sets.

But it is quite selfish in releasing things (ex: NOT releasing its 90's Classic Nick catalog on DVD).

They released Kenan and Kel and I hear tell the original All That! in the U.K.

If only they'd do the same in the States and other places. Sometimes, companies can be so odd about when and where to release things, sort of like how odd the Sonic musical stage show--Sonic in Sydney (starring songs for Sonic & Sally [although the latter was a love song from Sally to Sonic] and loosely based upon the SatAM plotline)--was, considering Sonic was conceptually developed in Hawaii (which was where SEGA was originally based, before it branched out into global branches), put into game form in Japan (for every game in which he starred), aired in cartoon and comic forms in North America (by DiC/ABC and Archie Comics, respectively [and overseen by SEGA of America]) & aired in anime form in both Japan and North America (by--respectively--4Kids and the Japanese developers of the Sonic anime [and overseen by SEGA of Japan, although the 4Kids-owned dubbing team said that its members didn't play the classic Sonic games or watch any of the previous series, which said something in regards to 4Kids track record]).

Thank God for The N, watching these reruns of Kenan and Kel and the original All That! brings back fond memories from my childhood!

Heck, the first night I discovered Kenan and Kel was on The N, they were playing my favorite episode!
