But how would they put The Chipettes on-screen without angering the PC police, considering the boy 'munks are CGI, semi-realistic beings?
Who knows?

That's one of the many reasons I DON'T want to see the sequel...

1. I think The Chipettes were already perfect the way they were (though I was kind of upset Brittany has to keep up with the times, it didn't seem right seeing her in the wolfman movie without her scarf and legwarmers).
2. I was disappointed with the first one anyway.

I'd LIKE to fancy myself a Chipmunk purist, but I'm not because in order for me to be so, I'd have to be born before or around the time they were first created, and I'd have to hate The Chipettes because I would think they destroyed the franchise, but I was born at the tail-end of the 80s, so it's hard for me to imagine a Chipmunk world without Chipettes.

Perhaps they'll be clothed to start with, just so as to make Chippette fans & the PC police happy?

Which proves my point that, though change is the one constant in life, people hate it.

I don't want Brittany to be covered with tattoos and body piercings, or Jeanette trying to wear contact lenses to avoid being a "nerd", or Eleanor self-conscious about her weight.

Nor I. But if that's the direction The Chipettes are headed, then they're headed there, regardless.

That would really be a blow below the belt for a lot of fans because as far as Jeanette and Eleanor are concerned, they never cared about what other people thought about them - Jeanette IS shy, reclusive, and she's aware other people would consider her a "nerd", but she doesn't care what other people think, because she's happy with who she is; same with Eleanor, people make comments about her weight, but she's very atheletic, so a lot of her "fat" is really muscle she's built up from playing so many sports, and again, she's happy with who she is.

In our day an age, I would be very upset if Jeanette tried to avoid being a nerd, or if Eleanor suddenly became self-conscious about her weight, because that would be ruining the kind of characters that little kids loved and related to.

True, but times and people have changed. Times have become PC-controlled & people have either become too sensitive due to said PC or they've become too cynical due to the demoralization of some parts of the world as a whole.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I mean, I've been preaching that for a while now. All we gotta do as a whole is not worry so much about stupid stuff that doesn't effect us. That's why people are hateful is because we let the hate they say get under our skin. If it didn't bother us, then we take the venom out of their word. But that's political correctness, so we don't get offended by anything instead of realizing that being offended and hurt is a part of life. Sorry, I got on a rant there. I do that a lot in my blogs about stuff like this. Anyways, my point is what I've said in other threads and I'm sure others are tired of hearing by now. LOVE EVERYBODY! It's as easy as turning on a light switch, turn the love on, and turn the hate off my brothas, sistas and chipmunks alike. Daniel
