I kinda like the Chipettes. I loved the movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman." Pretty entertaining, and I loved Maurice LaMarche's performance as Mr. Talbot. And I thought the "Clyde C. Crashcup Elementary School" was amusing. But what puzzled me was how for some reason, Simon's glasses frames were BLACK instead of blue! Maybe it was a throwback to the Alvin Show, when he had those "stereotypical cartoon horn-rimmed glasses that Hanna-Barbera and Jay Ward characters always wear."

But to me, my favorite Chipmunks cartoon will always be the Alvin Show. The animation was pretty good for limited animation, and the dialogue and stories were always witty. I also liked how they used the classic Rocky & Bullwinkle sound effects as well, to give it a Jay Ward sort of feel. Here's an entertaining clip from that program!

I've also wondered what it'd be like the Chipmunks and Dave appeared as Jim Henson Muppets? I think Kevin Clash would make a good Alvin, and maybe Jerry Nelson as Simon (and later Matt Vogel) and Camille Bonora as Theodore and Marty Robinson as David Seville.

Same with Jeanette, she wore black instead of pink... it looked very awkward.

Ever heard of Little Alvin and The Mink-Munks?

Yes, but I meant the Chipmunks at their regular age, and not tykes, and actually being done by the Muppet cast and crew, and being produced by Muppets Inc. or the Jim Henson Company
You know, I once heard of a guy who predicted what the budget might be for some kind of a "The Muppets Meet The Chipmunks" project...

And I'm sorry, but I don't think Dave as a muppet/puppet would work... and I'd HOPE Ross Jr. would play Dave like he did in Mini-Munks.

How messed up would the Muppets be if they were animals as voiced by people like they did in the Charlottes Web remake? Or Babe? I wouldn't care for it, but some people would. I mean, less work for the Muppeteers, you get to put a lot of people into the Muppets again. Not the way that I personally would want, but some schmucks would go for that sorta thing.

But then...how would characters like Gonzo work? Or better yet, how would dynamics like Kermit & Miss Piggy, Kermit with his best bear Fozzie, Gonzo & Camilla, et al work?

Well, it was just an idea, I don't think we'll see something like that happening anytime soon what with Disney neglecting the muppets, and Ross and Janice working on the sequel to the movie.

Sequel? I wonder if it'll allow some mention of The Chipettes?

Where have you been? The Chipettes are the reason why they're doing a sequel, remember? It's been rumored that Drew Barrymore will voice Brittany, JoJo will voice Jeanette, and Miley Cyrus will voice Eleanor, and everyone here is talking about how they DON'T want JoJo to be Jeanette, and Miley Cyrus will make Eleanor sound like she's been hanging around my neck of the woods too long if you know what I mean.

But how would they put The Chipettes on-screen without angering the PC police, considering the boy 'munks are CGI, semi-realistic beings?
