I never saw ANY Chipmunk merchandise anywhere when I was a kid.

I mean other than recent DVDs, the only time I saw something Chipmunk related in my town was like some kind of 25 cent ride at like Wal-Mart like it was a little car you could pretend to drive, and old-school Alvin, Simon, and Theodore were sitting in the back.
Oh yeah. Ideal toys had an Alvin line. In fact, I had the Chipmunk posable figures, the PVC's, and the chipmunk theater. Never had any of the plush, though. Then Gund had a line in the late 90's, of classic bean bags. There were ones that sang the Christmas song too. And a Kurt Adler orniment of the classic toon Cipmunks.

Anyway, I just came from Wall*E and saw this DREADFUL preview for something called "Fly me to the Moon" about these flies that want to go into space. one was regular and egotistical, one wore big round glasses, and one was fat. SOUND FAMILIAR? Of course, those aren't the only Chipmunks they stole from. The movie's basically a knockoff of a Rescue Rangers episode.

Gund makes nice looking plushies (ala muppets), I'd like to see these Chipmunks they came out with.

And yeah, that preview you just described DOES sound like fly versions of The Chipmunks!

You were so lucky ! *sigh* It's awful always having lived in the middle of nowhere without any big stores, and being poor besides... I had never even been in a Target until a few years ago...But I remember when the Chipmunks were in ads for them  "The Chipmunks are coming to Target!"

I've never seen The CHipmunks at Target, but then again, the Targets in my town all have such a CRAPPY selection, I mean, it's more like stepping inside a department store, and finding out that it's nothing more than a thrift shop inside.

Same with K-Mart.

And I hate to admit it, but a few Wal-Marts in my town are starting to lack in selection as well.

Which is probably why I mostly shop at Best Buy anymore. Sam Goody was good, but they went out of business, and fye's so froggin' high you can't afford anything (a single season set of a TV show is like over $40 with them, when you can get the exact same thing at Wal-Mart for anywhere between $19 and $32).

Oh well, I can't have everything.

Uh, I forgot where I got thim. I'd like to say KB Toys, but more likely it was Child World. I got most of the stuff as gifts, so I don't know where they came from.

As for the orniment, I just got it at a Christmas store several years ago. And the Bean Bag was from a Gift Shop.

I've seen that doll before. And that Fly movie sounds ever worse the more I know about it. But It's like I can't help but want to see it anyway.:smirk:

I made a little fanart mouse drawing today . It actually took me hours to draw, and probably does not look that good, but I like it anyway . The wonders of a cerebral palsy-ic hand and getting tried of seeing the same chipmunk pictures traced over and over on DA :stick_out_tongue:.

I got curious and went onto eBay to see what I could find, and look at this...

I took one look at this and I was like "Elmo!"

I mean seriously, that reminds of these COUNTLESS Elmos out there that can sing and dance and talk and roll around and whatnot...
I saw that advertised on TV years ago. And if you bought it through the television number, you got a bonus Chipmunks CD. I think it had a collections of older (60's) and newer(80's) songs on it. I wish I got it, but I never did.

I saw an ad on a Corn Flakes box that if you buy Corn Flakes, I guess you get a $3 off coupon for the newer movie on DVD. Don't ask me, that's all I saw. I didn't see details.
