Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

I heard about this on another forum outside of here that I belong to. It's really sad that this had to happen, but do wish Matt the best of luck with Kermit.

I grew up with Steve Whitmire's Kermit instead of Jim's, and was in shock when I found out about it.

I actually liked this performance a lot more than in the Thought of the Week. It feels a lot less forced, maybe it's partially because he isn't reading off a script here. Honestly, I've watched the TOTW video so many times now, that I am already adjusting to the new voice.

When I saw the Thought of the Week, I thought, "Pretty good start for a new Kermit."

When I heard the one sentence from the Hollywood Bowl video, it didn't seem like "The new Kermit"; it was just Kermit.
