Perhaps, but in this day and age of sequelitis, it would make the Peanuts come across as another cash cow franchise being milked for more than its worth.

Apparently today marks the 25th anniversary of the live-action movie with Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper, and Samantha Mathis, that nobody seems to like.

I still say it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Or, at least, I can appreciate it from a filmmaking standpoint . . . sure the content was hardly like the actual game, sure the husband-wife directing team were hacks, and sure some of the acting felt phoned-in (especially Dennis Hopper) . . . but you have to admit, they did an amazing job creating an entire fictional city inside an abandoned cement factory - Dinohattan is a bad@$$-lookin' city. Not to mention there are some moments of humor that are pretty amusing, and some of the action sequences are kind of fun. Even some of the visual and special effects, while primitive today, are neat to look at.
