Nope! Today casting came out:
  • Chris Pratt as Mario
  • Charlie Day as Luigi
  • Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach
  • Jack Black as Bowser
  • Keegan-Michael Key as Toad
  • Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong
  • Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek (or Cody to SML fans)
  • Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong
Plus, a cameo from Charles Martinet.

I must confess, most of my knowledge of the Mario franchise comes from SML, but I do love Illumination (as shown by my avatar), so I might still check this out.

Well, I found out more information about this movie I bet will infuriate people.
Apparently, the directors are the creators of Teen Titans Go…
Take that as you will…

I mean, for whatever reason, TTG is really popular and commercially successful, despite how cheesy, silly, and fluffy it is compared to the original series.

Yeah, I just don't like TTG on general principles. And yet there are certain parody episodes they end up making that really crack me up for how spot on they end up being.

As far as this new SMB movie, I'm not all that interested, I'm waiting for the live-action Mega Man movie coming to Netflix if that actually ends up happening.
