When I was a kid, I LOVED AFV, and that was during the Saget years. I would laugh like crazy. It's just not the same anymore

OOPS! Big goof on my part! What would my Psych 101 professor think of me now? Actually, calling it that, might've lengthened Rugrats' run another season or two. Maybe also upgraded it to a TVY7 rating. Maybe.

My list of shows that have overstayed their welcome:
Thomas and Friends- Look, Thomas used to be good, but after Season 6, plus the move from model trains to CGI, I think it's time for Thomas to retire.
American Idol-Let's face it, NO ONE ON THAT SHOW CAN SING!
America's Got Talent-It's just gotten old.
Arthur-Used to be good, but now, it's getting stale.

I still can't believe they made that switch, as the use of the models was really what set them up apart from most other children's programming. Now with CGI it just looks like any other show.

When I was younger I loved the Ringo Starr and George Carlin-narrated stories, and still watch the early ones every so often. They're fun.

Yeah, I watched Shinytime Station when I was a kid too. My niece loves Thomas, but it's a shame she has to settle for the sub-par CGI show as opposed to the classic.

Again, the problem is CGI is the cheaper, and the less productive way for them to go. When it comes to things like this, the people who put it all together are going to want to go the route that costs them less money, and also means less work for them to actually do, because cutting costs and lessening their work load is more important than the overall quality of the production.

CGI has ruined so many things for, but most especially the Star Wars films. The entirety of Ep. I might as well have been a cartoon, the aliens look so unrealistic.
