The point of the comic is: AOC participates in the capitalist system because that’s what we have in America. That doesn’t mean she can’t argue for its removal. That’s why I posted the comic, because it’s easy to say, oh hey, you’re using what you say we should get rid of, isn’t that hypocritical? If all we have is that system though, of course you’re gonna use it, whether you like it or not.

I will say that there’s a discussion to be had about how socialists go about using capitalism — I.E. how much they charge for products — but in and of itself, AOC selling a t-shirt is not being hypocritical, at least in my view.
A sweatshirt for $58 is being hypocritical

The comic would apply to a different situation. For example, if someone says "money is evil" and someone responds with "yet you use money to buy things". That is a dumb argument because one has to use money to purchase things in our current economy. However, AOC doe not NEED to sell sweatshirts, and certainly not for almost $60. If the purpose was to get her message out she could simply sell them at cost. If the purpose is to get her message out and collect money for her campaign, she could give the shirts away and ask for a donation.

If anything, her shirts are very much pro-capitalism. They are 100% American made, according to her site anyway. She paid an American business to make them and then turned around to sell them for a profit. She took the risk of paying for the design and production of the shirts. The producers of the shirts were paid by her (creating jobs) and she is now using the fruit of their labor to recoup her initial expenses and turn a profit. It's a very pro-American and pro-capitalism. If only her message was "Buy American" or "Support American Businesses" instead.

Biblically speaking, money itself is not evil, but the love of money is.
But that was what struck me. If AOC had her way, capitalism should be abolished since it only benefits evil old white men.
But if she can make a few bucks on the side, hey, capitalism works for her.

No different than her Green New Deal wanting to abolish fossil fuels, while she has no qualms flying around in a private jet.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Soooo . . . the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, the Carolias and the Dakotas are suing the states of Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin because, derp-derp, the election was rigged.

Where was all of this action back in 2016 with the overwhelming evidence the White House had that the election was rigged and tampered with? How come nobody did anything about it then?

Because Trump got off with his celebrity privilege. It shows show biz can give you a free pass if you’re white and famous.

In Fulton County Georgia there is literally video of poll workers clearing the room, reports of them telling everyone (including the media) that counting would be stopped until morning, and then when everyone is gone they take containers of ballots out from under a table and start counting them when no one is there. During this same time there is a massive spike for Biden where he got 96% of the ballots counted. You can't just put your head in the sand and pretend this isn't concerning.

As for 2016, there was a HUGE investigation by Robert Muller nd he came up with NOTHING. You claim there was evidence of fraud in 2016, well what is it? The worst thing was some Russians bought some Facebook ads.

PA pushed through a law that violates its own constitution in October 2019 to have mass mail in ballots.... before there was even a pandemic? They started the process of doing it the right way and making it an amendment, but they stopped when they realized it would have to be on the 2020 ballot and thus wouldn't be able to take effect until after the election. Why would PA push for mass mail-in ballots before there was even a suggestion of a pandemic? You don't think there was an agenda here?

Hundreds of sworn affidavits from people that claim they saw ballots that were not properly filled out pushed through if it was for Biden. System errors that exclusively gave votes to Biden. An acceptance rate of absentee ballots 30 times higher than the 2016 election because poll workers were letting through mistakes and incomplete ballots. States not even following their own laws when it comes to how to count ballots.

Oh, but Trump's whiteness and fame is why he "got away with it" in 2016? I guess Joe Biden isn't white enough and the fame of having been VP for 8 years just wasn't enough. You two are insane.

You’d be surprised how society views folks who were in the show biz life. A lot of them get praised or free passes for ignorant **** they’re involved in because of their celeb life. But if that’s what ya think then so be it. I can’t change your mind. 🤷🏿‍♂️
