Anyone rememeber this Chunky candy bar commercial from the early 70's?
A boy is on a couch sitting next to his dad watching tv. He is eating the Chunky and in saying how good it is he keeps saying it's "thickerer". His dad corrects him each time saying, "Thicker." Finally his dad says, "Thicker. Thic ker! Thic KER!" But the boy still says, 'Yeahhh it's thickerer." The dad gives up and laughs. Then he takes a bite and says, "Thickerer." The boy says, "Yeahhh." By the way, the audio from the tv they were watching sounded like an old western (just like "Green Acres" always seemed to have on whenever someone, like Arnold the pig, turned on the TV). What did all the tv producers back in the late 60's and early 70's think that people watched was westerns? However, I do remember observing in a book on television once that in the 50's there was one point where THIRTY different western shows were on during the week! I guess people used to find those very fascinating.
