This is how I feel

I know we all want the puppets to look exactly like the originals, but on the other hand, I don't want a $400 photo puppet to be breaking apart in two years. I think if they can find something to mimic the look, that would be great. To spend $400 on something to only know in a few years it will be falling apart is a very bad investment and I think that's why MR is taking a while for Gonzo to be just right, for the purchaser and the longevity of the peice. I'm sure Gonzo will be out soon. I know I want him badly, but, I want him to last forever too. :concern:

First of all, Gonzo is not going to cost $400. I believe they are thinking either $250 or $299, someone else can correct me on that.

Second, no one has said the foam will only last two years. It's at least five. As I've said in the past, I've got puppets that are 35 years old and the foam is still good in them.

It seems to me at this point that MR is caught between the proverbial rock and hard place on this one. I don't think whatever they do now is going to make everyone happy. Personally, I would move on to Fozzie and put Gonzo on the back burner until a perfect solution can be found... if there is one.

Hope I didn't offend anyone...

Sorry if I offended you Once was Ernie or anyone else. I didn't mean to come off rude. If foam works, then I don't know who first said that foam goes bad, not an expert on that. What I definitly do agree with is, let Fozzie be the next one to come out and Gonzo be after him, since they are making amazing progress with Fozzie. Did you see the new pics from Terry, the pics with Fozzie and Kermit together and Terry with Fozzie? They are AMAZING! Anyways, hope everything is cool. I just want these puppets sooooo bad. :embarrassed: :concern:

I think Amy said that Gonzo is going for $199. But that can always change with the material they use and how much it cost them. We will just have to wait and see. :concern:

Thanks, MuppetCaper! I knew it wasn't $400. I think where I got confused was that originally they said $249, then the most recent thing we heard was the $199.

Anyway, as you say, the final solution on the nose could conceivably drive up the price, but we won't know about that until it happens.

No, you didn't offend me. I was just trying to set the record straight. That's the problem with writing messages, you don't hear the inflection in the person's voice and sometimes the tone can be misinterpreted.

Anyway, don't worry about it. We all just want the best product we can have.

Hear, hear! I'm with you on this 'un for sure. I definitely want Gonzo, but I'd rather they not rush to find a cure, but take their time and get it 100% perfect.

I think it'd be cool to see a full body picture of Kermit and Fozzie replicas standing side-by-side.
