Bump. Here comes some more
CHAPTER 3
When Pops reached the Muppet Theater with Bill, they entered and asked Fozzie where Hilda was. He told them that she was inside her old wardrobe mistress dorm reminiscing with Kermit and Scooter. Pops said "I hope they won't mind but I have something very important to say to her."
Fozzie looked at the bouquet and the card and stammered "Oh I-I-I-I see." Pops strode briskly past the amazed bear followed by Bill heading for Hilda's old dorm.
Hilda, Kermit and Scooter were all engaged in conversation when there came a knock-knock at the door. "Who is it?" asked Scooter.
"It's me Pops. I have something I really wish to say to Hilda please. May I come in?"
Hilda said "It's alright my friends. He can come in."
So Scooter opened the door and Pops entered, approached Hilda and fell on one knee. "Hilda," he said to the astonished old woman muppet. "I have been smitten with your beauty right from the moment I met you. These are for you."
He handed her the gifts and she took them joyfully. "Oh Pops," she said. "I love roses." She sniffed them. "They are so beautiful, thank you." Then she opened the card and read it. "Of course I'll be yours you dear sweet old man. I admire you for openly coming out to me in the presence of Scooter and Kermit here."
The Frog and the Go-fer were impressed with Pop's courage as well. Pops said "There's one more thing for you dear Hilda. This is Bill, the man I bought the card and flowers from and he has something else."
Bill entered the room and waved hello. "I always say the best way my clients can express their affection for each other is to allow me to provide some bubbles in their honour. So here goes." Hilda, Scooter and Kermit were all amazed as Bill blew heaps upon heaps of bubbles right out of the top of his head. Yes Bill had had a great, big drink to get him ready for this of course. A huge drink of bubble-blowing liquid. And he blew. And he blew. And he blew until he'd used up all the bubble juice he'd taken into his system. Hilda laughed with joy and threw her arms around Pops kissing him on both cheeks.
"Oh you dear sweet man. That was so beautiful."
She proposed that they go out dancing that night. Pops was overjoyed and they left to get themselves ready leaving Bill with Kermit and Scooter. Kermit said with awe "That's an amazing trick."
Scooter added "You know, you could probably fit right in with our show with an act like that."
Bill replied "You know I have considered applying for show business one day. I though maybe I could call myself Bill and his Bubble-Blower Head or Bill the Bubble Man or something similar to that."
"Sounds like a good idea. Why don't I call my Uncle J.P.Grosse?"
Kermit was aghast at the thought. But he knew from experience how wise it was not to argue with J.P. if he said yes to something. And J.P. usually went along with Scooter. Oh well he'd had nearly five years of facing lunacy. This wouldn't make all that much difference. He hoped anyway that Pops and Hilda would enjoy themselves that night.
