Pet Peeves

It bothers me when they play sirens on radio ads. It's hard to tell between them and actual sirens sometimes...

I have trouble with that with the T.V.

We're on a farm which is on a long, open stretch of two-lane scenic road. The state troopers are forever racing by, on their way for coffee/doughnuts. The T.V.-ad sirens always make me think someone's had a horrible accident out there on our road.
Also, they wake me up from perfectly good couchnaps. I resent this.

It really annoyed me one day when my host mom came home from work, woke me up, and asked me if I was tired? Why did she have to wake me up to ask me? If I am sleeping, I am tired!

more of Sarah's pet peeves:

People who smack gum....NASTY!
People who just say LOL.....yeah I'm sure you're laughing.....
There's this one girl in my grade who is smart, but acts dumb for attention.....(she claims she has no idea what obesity is.....)
People who tell me volunteer work is stupid.
The fact that all the Freshman are older than me, and beat me out for Driver's Ed. Shouldn't one be rewarded for being smart enough not to be held back any?
Teachers that give EASY work.....(Yes that's you, my biology teacher!!!)

People who ask me: So, when are you gonna' get your drivers license?

People who say: Why aren't you working? Especially annoying since I've had various jobs continually since I was 13. (This was said a lot when I didn't have a job for only a couple of months.)

Further pet peeves:
Busywork. (No, I DON'T want to waste my time on pointless work! I can't think of anyone who DOES!)
Condescension. I HATE it when people are condescending towards me!
When people act like they're so much better than you just b/c you like cartoons and Muppets & they don't.
The "street clothes" versions of the Muppet plush dolls. (Is that "ZEN" ANIMAL??? What the heck???)
When I like something BEFORE it becomes popular, and then it becomes popular, and the people who previously mocked my obsession now suddenly like it, too!
