I am surprised at some people's attitudes. He obviously suffers from low self esteem and laughs at people to make himself feel better. Or he's just plain rude.
Sorry that happened to you. Good for you for standing up to it. That took courage and confidence.

Kathy you're too wonderful for things like this to affect you. Personally, I think you should have explained to him that you were clearly more fabulous than him then had him sued for thousands of dollars, bought a plane ticket for me to come over to good ol' Florida where we could record our cover version of Material Girl with Madonna on backing vocals.

Hey, handicapped or not handycapped, it doesn't matter. He hurt your feelings and no one should be treated the way you were. We don't feel bad because you have a disability. We feel bad because you are our friend and we genuinely care about you a lot.

Don't worry...it's not about anyone in here.So if you want to keep reading this,be my guest:
Now...I went Christmas shopping today in a department store & wanted to get a gift certificate for my mother. So I got it,and went to give the monetary amount to the salesman. As most of you know,I'm handicapped.So my coordination (using my hands quickly) is pretty bad .The salesclerk (a guy of about 17) was laughing at me while I fumbled to get my money!!
At first I left the store instead of approaching him or one of the higher ups about the way he was towards me. But I went back an hour later he wasn't there. I spoke to one of the woman salesclerks & told her about what happened. I even said "My dad passed away earlier this year.I didn't need this too!" The saleswoman apologized & said that the guy that was being a jerk (she didn't say "jerk") but anyway,she said that someone will talk to him.
So right now I feel like my ego is zero.

why do you feel like 0 because of this guy?I can understand why you'd be mad at him but I can't understand why you would feel like nothing just because of him.

Yeah this time of year is even more crazy, it sounds like it was just a inmature kid working the counter. There's no reason for it at all, but I wouldn't let it get you down. You've got more where it counts! And i know you know that as well!
