People need to be more understanding!

Don't worry...it's not about anyone in here.So if you want to keep reading this,be my guest:
Now...I went Christmas shopping today in a department store & wanted to get a gift certificate for my mother. So I got it,and went to give the monetary amount to the salesman. As most of you know,I'm handicapped.So my coordination (using my hands quickly) is pretty bad .The salesclerk (a guy of about 17) was laughing at me while I fumbled to get my money!!
At first I left the store instead of approaching him or one of the higher ups about the way he was towards me. But I went back an hour later he wasn't there. I spoke to one of the woman salesclerks & told her about what happened. I even said "My dad passed away earlier this year.I didn't need this too!" The saleswoman apologized & said that the guy that was being a jerk (she didn't say "jerk") but anyway,she said that someone will talk to him.
So right now I feel like my ego is zero.

Yeah...I've been handicapped since I was born. I have a brain injury.(please don't feel sorry for me.I've lived 36+ years with it & I'm not going to die from it)
As for hanging in there, I'm trying to even though it's been taken care of.But because of my slowness in school & being made fun of,everything just came back to me

Aw, I'm sorry that happened; I hate stories like that. Regarding this punk though, I'd recomend going back and dealing with it yourself. I wouldn't trust another costomer service Rep. with something like that. Its like when your cab is half an hour late, and you call only to have them tell you they'll be there in a few minutes. Get the idea?

no it's two diffrent things , Fraggle muppet i'd call monday especially if you know the kids name and ask to speak to a manaer it may do no good but at least you made the person aware of it


as a manager i know my employees and i know how the act so i would be able to figure out the sitiotion

trust me i have had some werid acustions aganist my employees but most where just lies but if you truly were offended then the mgr will know if the employee was wrong

i know i ramblled i just hire good people and weed out the bad ones really quickly i can't have bad employees because they are the front line

No...you haven't rambled. You were just mentioning your experience as a manager. Some friends on another board I'm on told me to contact the regular headquarters of the store (TJ Maxx is a chain of stores) So I emailed them a short while ago.
The tough thing is that I'm still angry & upset right now (as well I should be,right?)& this gift certificate is for my mother.She knows about what happened..I don't want her feeling guilty that I had to go through this garbage .

That's totally unfair. Unfortunately some people are rude like that. Good for you for fighting back. And yes you do have a right to be upset. Noone deserves to be singled out or laughed at because of a handicap.
