Pen Pals and Secret Admirers.

So, who's got 'em.

(Is that a good enough segueway into the topic?)

Do you think it still counts as pen pals when you have folks that you write emails to often, or is pen pals more traditional in that there must be letters hand written with stamps on them?

I never joined this thread because I thought Pen Pals meant pen and paper only.

I met a few of my best friends in college through e-mail. Turned out we lived in the same town and now we do things together like an arcade auction this weekend! (www.superauctions.com)

I also talk with someone through e-mail that I've talked to this way since 1996. He lives in New York. Pretty amazing to me to be talking to someone you've never met for that long.

Foz, that was COLD! And someone you don't even know in the Midwest- which to an East Coast boy is too far away!!! Anyone know Joanna Gibson? Her name just popped into my mind for whatever reason. Maybe I need to check my astrology on her!

I just got off the phone with Catharinna and her dad. They called so she could talk to us, but she was very shy and didn't know what to say, and neither did we. But it was cool to get to talk to her for the first time. Her dad, on the other hand, is very boisterous and talkative. We're a little nervous because compared to Berlin, Erie is not very exciting. But hopefully she'll find some things here to enjoy!
