BTW: Your wedding's on the 26th? You're not the couple getting married on ESPN are you?
Actually the wedding is the 27th, so nope, not the couple getting married on ESPN. Look at me muffining my own thread. Anyway, if I get some time today perhaps there will be more, otherwise there definately will be on Monday!

So long as there's more story... That's the important thing.
And congrats again, hope it's a lovely 11 o'clock wedding day.

redBoobergurl “Oh Mokey. You just can’t leave. I’ll miss you and I don’t think I can go through this without you! I’m scared!” exclaimed Red running over to her friend. [/quote said:
MOKEY!!!!!!!!NO!!!!!!!!! It's just upsetingness and mor upsettingness.

That was a great chapter though, a very awkward dinner for everyone I'm sure. And Gobo probably should have saved the WoHoo! till after Mokey left:smirk: .

What's instore for these fraggles next?

It's Monday! And that means an update! Yea! More tomorrow, enjoy!

Chapter Six:

When Red awoke the next morning she found herself filled with joy as she remembered that she was finally going to have her very own baby Fraggle to love.

Then she remembered the dinner party and everything that had happened. She looked over at Gobo who was deep in sleep and didn’t want to bother him so she got up. It was pretty early, so she hoped that Mokey was still somewhere in the rock. She decided to head to Boober and Mokey’s cave to see if she was still there.

On her way she passed Lou who was out for an early walk with Artie.

“Hey Red, I never got a chance to say congratulations last night. I suspected that you were having a Fraglet, but I didn’t want to say anything,” said Lou.

“I knew that you knew, but yeah, thanks,” said Red.

Artie squealed and held his arms up to Red to be picked up. She reached down and grabbed him.

“He’s so cute. I really can’t wait to have my own. I’m a little nervous after what happened with Sunny…” Red started to say.

“I know what you mean. You should talk with the Caregiver though about your nerves. What happened to Mokey isn’t going to happen to you,” said Lou.

“Oh! Mokey! I almost forgot where I was going. I have to go,” said Red handing Artie back to Lou. Lou frowned as Red ran off. She didn't seem like herself.

She ran to Mokey and Boober’s cave. She found Boober stirring a pot of something; she couldn’t tell if it was stew or hot water for washing clothes.

“Hey Boober,” said Red softly as she stepped in the door.

“She’s gone Red,” said Boober quietly.

“She left already?” asked Red.

“She never came home last night. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m very busy,” said Boober.

“But wait, did she say anything about where’s she’s going?” asked Red.

“No, she did not. Now please, I’m very busy,” said Boober.

Red started to walk for the door and then turned back. “Is there anything you need?” she asked.

“No, I’m fine. Please Red, just go,” said Boober.

Sadly Red started walking back toward her cave. This wasn’t right. She just didn’t understand it. She knew she should take up Lou on talking to the Caregiver about her concerns, but there was more to it than that. She needed some advice. Suddenly she knew just the person to talk to and ran off towards the Gorg’s Garden.

Later in the morning Wembley and Lou stopped by to see Gobo.

“Hey Gobo! We need to talk to you,” said Wembley.

“Hi guys! Did you hear the news? I’m going to be a father!” exclaimed Gobo.

“Yes, that’s wonderful, but listen Gobo,” said Lou but then Gobo interrupted her.

“I’m finally going to have a family! It’s like I’ll be complete! I have to find Uncle Matt!” said Gobo talking a mile a minute.

“Gobo we’re worried about Red,” said Wembley.

“Red? Why? We’re finally getting what we wanted!” exclaimed Gobo.

“But Red’s not happy,” said Wembley.

“I saw her this morning and she was talking about nerves and then she was worried about Mokey,” said Lou.

“Oh, right, Mokey’s gone. Well, she’s got me, she’ll be fine, now I’m going to see if I can find Uncle Matt,” said Gobo blowing them off and leaving the room.

“Was I this goofy when we found out about Artie?” asked Wembley.

“No dear, you ran around the room in panic,” said Lou.

“Oh that’s right. Thank goodness!” exclaimed Wembley. The two of them decided to wait until Gobo came back; they had to make him see that something wasn’t right with Red.

Red headed out to the Gorg’s Garden and was immediately spotted by Junior.

“Wed! My favowite Fwaggle!” said Junior.

“Oh hi Junior. I’m not actually here to see you today. I have to go see the Trash Heap,” said Red.

“The Twash Heap? But why?” asked Junior.

“I don’t think you’d understand buddy. I promise I’ll come back on a day when I can play,” said Red. Even though he was getting older Junior still had a childlike approach to life.

“Ok Wed! Good to see you!” said Junior and bounded away.

Red made her way to the Trash Heap.

“Hello? I need to see Madame Heap,” said Red. Philo and Gunge appeared to be sleeping.

“Hello? I said I need to see Madame Heap,” said Red again. There was no response.

“I NEED TO TALK TO THE TRASH HEAP!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. Philo and Gunge awoke with a start.

“Geeze you could wake the half dead!” exclaimed Philo.

“Yeah, calm down, we’re entitled to a nap now and then,” said Gunge.

“May I speak with her now,” said Red in a fake sweet tone.

“Ok, ok. You’re in the presence of the all knowing,” said Gunge.

“All seeing, Trash Heap,” said Philo.

The Trash Heap roared to life.

“What is all the racket going on? Oh, it’s the spunky Fraggle who’s married to Gobo, what brings you here?” said the Trash Heap.

“Sorry to bother you Madame Heap, I need some advice,” said Red.

She then proceeded to tell the Trash Heap all about what had happened with Mokey’s baby, how much she wanted her own baby and how frightened she was.

“My my, that was quite an ear full,” said the Trash Heap.

“Sorry,” said Red.

“Well, first, you have nothing to fear, the time is right for you to have a Fraglet so you will have your Fraglet. The time was not right for your friend. Your friend does not know how to reach out for help and she will need help even if she doesn’t say so. Look inside your heart and you’ll know where to find her,” said the Trash Heap and then sank back into the ground.

“The Trash Heap has spoken, nyeah,” said Philo and Gunge and immediately both of them fell back asleep.

“I was right! Mokey needs me! But the Trash Heap said look inside my heart and I’ll know where to find her. I don’t understand that,” said Red and started walking back toward Fraggle Rock.

She wasn’t sure where Mokey was but she knew what she had to do and she knew that Gobo wasn’t going to be happy with her when she did.

Now we're getting somewhere... Good chapter Beth. The Trash Heap!
And come on Red, you spent all that time in the same cave together... You gotta know where Mokey's gone off to.
Hope for more as soon as you can.

Wow, great chapter; poor Mokey and Red! And I wonder what's up with Boober? The whole garden scene was great. I could just picture Red shouting in desperation like that, and then giving the Trash Heap an ear-full, LOL! And it's kind of funny about Red not understanding the advice. Meditation and inner exploration were never her thing, were they?

oooo..I love this story. It was great to finally catch up on what was happening in the Fraggle world. I love the setting you have created. It was really sad reading about sunny. Thanks for the warning. In a sense I'm glad I kinda waited to wait and read because I was then able to read a happy chapter after reading a sad one. Oh but now I am wondering what will happen to Red and Mokey. Don't leave us hanging for long. Oh and Congrats for your wedding day. I was just in a friends wedding. It took two hours to prepare, and in an hour my friend was married. To me though the wedding was super short in comparison to the preparations. Anyways I hope your wedding day will be everything you wish it would be and more.

Hey, sorry for lack of update yesterday everyone. I've got this nasty cold and haven't been in the mood to do much. Anyway, here's an update. I hope to get as much of this story written as I can before my wedding next week! But for now, enjoy chapter seven!

Chapter Seven:

Gobo found his Uncle Matt looking intently at the Doozers.

“Anything wrong Uncle Matt?” asked Gobo coming up behind him

“Oh, hello Nephew Gobo. No, nothing is wrong; I was just studying the Doozers. Sometimes I am just so amazed by them,” said Uncle Matt.

“Always the explorer,” said Gobo.

“So, you look like you have something to share,” said Matt.

“Well, as a matter of fact, I do. Red and I are finally going to have a Fraglet!” exclaimed Gobo.

“Really? When did you find out?” asked Uncle Matt.

“Yesterday. I guess Red’s known for awhile though but didn’t want to say anything in light of what’s happened,” said Gobo.

“Ah yes, such a tragedy for those young Fraggles. They’ll be all right though. They just need time,” said Uncle Matt.

“Well, Mokey actually left,” said Gobo slowly.

“Where did she go?” asked Uncle Matt.

“I don’t know. Red’s kind of upset about it I guess,” said Gobo as he finally figured out that something really was bothering his wife.

“You will probably want to keep an eye on her. You know how she is,” said Uncle Matt.

“You’re right. Gosh, I wouldn’t even listen to her! I was so excited to have my own Fraglet, you know, something that was part of me,” said Gobo.

“I understand Nephew. I know you miss your parents fiercely. I hope I have done an ok job in their absence,” said Uncle Matt.

“Oh you have! I can’t wait to teach a Fraglet everything you’ve taught me!” exclaimed Gobo.

Uncle Matt then came over and gave Gobo a hug.

“I’m proud of you Nephew. I know you’ll be a great father. Now, go find your wife and be there for her. And I hope your friend comes back soon,” said Uncle Matt.

“Thanks Uncle Matt,” said Gobo and then hurried off to find Red.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The whole way back to the cave Red kept trying to think of where it was Mokey would go. She kept thinking of the Trash Heap’s words. All she knew was, she had to find her. Mokey needed her whether she could admit it or not.

When she got back to the cave she began frantically throwing things in a bag. She had to go find Mokey. It was a mission, something she knew the Trash Heap wanted her to do.

Gobo found her this way as she frantically ran around the cave.

“Hey! What’s going on?” asked Gobo as he came inside.

“I have to go somewhere,” said Red.

“Where?” asked Gobo.

“I have to find Mokey,” said Red digging under some blankets.

“Now wait a minute. I’m sorry I wasn’t more open to listening to what’s bothering you. I was just excited about the Fraglet, but I’ll listen now,” said Gobo.

“No time for that! I have to go!” said Red. She was now hysterically running around the cave in circles. Gobo caught up to her and grabbed her in his arms.

“Red, you can’t go. Not now, wait until the Fraglet is born,” said Gobo.

“That’s not going to happen for awhile. Mokey needs me. The Trash Heap said so,” said Red.

“The Trash Heap! You went to the Trash Heap? Gosh, I’m so sorry Red, I really wish I’d been here for you now,” said Gobo.

“What’s wrong with the Trash Heap? You go to her all the time!” exclaimed Red.

“Well, that’s different,” said Gobo.

“What?” asked Red. Now she was getting angry.

“She understands my problems,” said Gobo.

“Well, guess what? She understands my problems too! She said I need to find Mokey, that Mokey needs me and if I look inside my heart I will know where to find her,” said Red.

“Well Smarty-pants, where are you going to look?” asked Gobo smugly.

“Um…I…I don’t know yet,” said Red.

“Look, Red, let’s calm down and talk about this. I just don’t want you traveling in this condition,” said Gobo.

“In this condition?! Gobo Fraggle you have a lot of nerve!” exclaimed Red angrily.

Gobo then knew he had crossed the line. Red was independent and could handle just about anything. Being pregnant certainly wasn’t going to change that.

“I still wish we could talk about this,” Gobo prodded.

“I don’t think you understand,” said Red softly and then climbed up into bed.

“Red,” said Gobo.

“Leave me alone, I need a nap,” said Red.

Gobo didn’t know what else to do so he left the room to go find Wembley and Lou. He only wished he would’ve listened to them earlier.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

After about an hour or so Gobo felt much better. He talked with Wembley and Lou about the changes Red was going through and that she needed not only for him to be there for her but also her closest female friend. Wembley also helped Gobo see that the Trash Heap, as usual, was probably right.

So, Gobo headed back to the cave to offer Red a compromise. He’d go with her. He just hoped she’d calmed down after her nap.

“Red, I just talked with Wembley and Lou and I think,” said Gobo coming into the cave. But as he looked around he realized he’d just made another mistake. He shouldn’t have left her alone.

She was gone.
