Here's a shorty, but at least it's an update!

Chapter Ten:

Kermit looked from Red to Sara with a confused look on his face.

“What did I do? Why is she crying?” asked Kermit.

“I don’t know. Red, what’s wrong?” asked Sara.

“Mokey’s gone, I’m having a Fraglet, she needs to be here, she’s needs me,” sobbed Red barely spitting out the words. Sara reached over and gave Red a hug.

“All right, calm down, we’re here for you. Tell us, what happened? Why is Mokey gone?” asked Sara.

Red took a deep breath and told the whole story, from Mokey getting pregnant and then losing Sunny. She told them about how long it was before she became pregnant and then how she didn’t want to tell Mokey. Finally she told them about how Mokey ran away even though she had appeared to have it all together.

Sara was sniffling when Red finished the story and Robin had climbed into Kermit’s lap. In fact, they hadn’t even noticed that several others had gathered listening to the story as well and there were many sniffles and wet eyes.

“Wow, you guys have been through a lot. I wish there was something more we could do,” said Kermit.

“Well, if Mokey shows up here, tell her we’re looking for her and we want her to come home!” exclaimed Red.

“Maybe vous should wait here for her for a bit,” said Piggy who had come up behind them to listen to the story.

“No, I need to keep going. I know she’s out there somewhere. I just don’t know where,” said Red.

“All right, if Mokey comes here, we’ll send her home. How will you know though?” asked Kermit.

“Oh, my husband’s back down in Fraggle Rock, he’ll come find me I’m sure if Mokey comes home. He didn’t really want me to go in the first place. I hope he’s not mad at me,” said Red.

“I’m sure he’s not mad at you Red. You just be careful ok?” said Sara.

“I will,” said Red and gave hugs to Kermit, Sara, Robin, Piggy and the others that had gathered. Then she climbed back through the hole that led to Fraggle Rock.

“All right everyone, we’ve got a show to do, back to work!” exclaimed Kermit.

Robin hopped over to the hole. “Good luck Red!” he called after her.

“Thanks Robin!” yelled Red back. She stopped for a second when she realized she had no idea where she should go next.

Gobo, Wembley and Boober were pretty quiet on their hike to the cavern that led to the Farmhouse.

“Hey guys?” said Boober breaking the silence.

“Yeah?” said Gobo and Wembley.

“I’m really sorry about all this. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have shut Mokey out. I just didn’t know how to deal with everything. She tried to connect with me and I pushed her away,” said Boober.

“It’s not your fault Boober. This is a difficult thing for Fraggles to go through. It could’ve happened to any one of us,” said Gobo.

“Thanks. I just hope Mokey will want to see me when we find her and Red,” said Boober.

“I’m sure she will. Then you guys can make a fresh start,” said Gobo.

“Hey Gobo? Are you excited about being a father?” asked Wembley.

“Yeah. I really am. I’ve wanted this for a long time. I’ve always felt part of me was gone since my parents, well, you know,” said Gobo.

“I was terrified of being a father. I’m still terrified. But, Artie’s pretty great,” said Wembley.

“You know what Wembley, I’m terrified too. I think that’s actually normal,” said Gobo smiling.

“Hey Boober, do you think you and Mokey will want to have another Fraglet?” asked Wembley.

“I don’t know. I don’t think I could go through this again. But, I guess if she wants to we’ll talk about it. For now I think we need to fix our relationship,” said Boober.

“Yeah, that makes sense,” said Wembley.

“Hey guys, we’re here!” said Gobo climbing through the hole and into the basement of the farmhouse. Wembley and Boober followed suit. Then the trio headed upstairs.

Doc was walking out of the kitchen when he spotted the guys.

“Gobo! Your wife was just here!” said Doc.

“Great! Wait, you mean we missed her?” asked Gobo.

“I’m afraid so. Come on in, Emily can make some tea,” said Doc. The three Fraggle men followed Doc into the kitchen.

Red sat down on a log. “Mokey, where are you? I’ve looked everyplace I can think of and you’re not there!” exclaimed Red.

“Look inside your heart,” came the voice of the Trash Heap inside of Red’s head.

“I’m trying, I don’t think I understand!” exclaimed Red.

Then, suddenly it came clear to her.

“I know where she is! Oh Mokey, I’m coming! Hang on!” exclaimed Red as she leapt up and began to run out of the cave. She was not looking forward to where she had to go, but she knew she’d find her there.

 

[The Count]

Yaey for the new chapter! Maybe a motto there, eh, use it in good health.

So many good emotions for just a short chapter... Nice to see that all the Muppets at the theater support Red, though they've still got a show to do.
And I liked the conversation between the guys before they got to the farmhouse.
But if Mokey's where Red thinks she is... Hurry Red, get to Mokey before something bad happens!

Aww, left us with a cliffie! Do you have any idea Ed or Lisa where Mokey is, because I have no clue! So many things to love about this chapter...
Looking forward to an update, of course, but then again, I wasn't expecting this one, thanks! You know what else I like? Even when you say a chapter is short, I don't think it is! Thanks for that, too. *smile*

Hmmm... Where could Mokey Be? Well, only way I can answer where I think she may be is... Wherever the author says she is.
Sorry Kate, but that's the best guess I can come up with.

Oh... No, that's just us getting all excited and wanting Red to hurry to wherever it is Mokey's at, and nothing bad happening...

Chapter Eleven:

“Oh hello boys! It’s so good to see you!” gushed Emily to the three Fraggles as they followed Doc into the kitchen.

“It’s nice to see you soon, but I’m afraid we can’t stay long. We’re looking for my wife and his wife,” said Gobo pointing to Boober.

“Oh yes, she was here today, but she’s been gone for awhile,” said Emily.

“I knew it, we’re too late, oh now what will we do?” worried Wembley.

“Hush Wembley. Do you have any idea where she went?” asked Gobo.

“We told her to maybe go check for Mokey at the theatre where our son is,” said Doc.

“Oh! The theatre! Great idea!” said Gobo.

“Wait a minute Gobo. Red may have gone there, but I know Mokey, she wouldn’t be there. She’d want to go someplace quiet to reflect and maybe paint a little,” said Boober.

“Oh my son and his friends wouldn’t allow for that, that’s for sure!” laughed Emily.

“Ok, so Mokey’s probably not there, but Red still would have gone to look for her there. She loves that theatre and all those crazy people,” said Gobo.

“Well, chances are if she did go there, she’s probably staying the night. It’s getting late, you boys should stay here,” said Emily.

“I don’t know, maybe we should keep looking,” said Gobo.

“Gobo, let’s rest, maybe Red got as far as the Cavern of Sparkling Lilies and found Mokey there, that’s a more likely place for her to be,” said Boober.

“Yeah it would take us awhile to get there, let’s just rest awhile Gobo. I’m sure wherever Red and Mokey are they’re resting too,” said Wembley.

“All right, we’ll stay,” said Gobo.

“Splendid! Now, how about some tea?” asked Emily.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Red continued hiking through the caverns of Fraggle Rock. She knew it was getting late, but she just had a feeling she would find Mokey if she kept going. Finally she arrived at a different cavern not too far from the heart of the rock.

“All right, here goes nothing,” said Red as she headed inside of it. This was the Cavern of the Deceased. This was where Fraggle Rock buried its dead. Red was certain now that Mokey was here, with her daughter. She didn’t know why she didn’t think of it before. It’s where she’d want to be if she was in the same shoes.

Slowly Red made her way to where the baby Fraglet was buried. Sure enough, kneeling in front of the grave was Mokey.

“Mokey!” exclaimed Red.

“Red! What are you doing here?” asked Mokey.

“Being a true friend,” said Red sitting down beside her friend and giving her a hug. Mokey finally did what she hadn’t done this entire time, she let go and started to cry.

Red let Mokey cry as long as she needed to. Then they sat up and talked the entire night about Mokey’s feelings, about how she felt about Boober pushing her away, and why she kept it all bottled up inside.

“I think if you go home and talk to Boober everything will be just fine,” said Red.

“I know that, I just needed some time. I think I’m ready to see him. There’s just one thing I need to do first,” said Mokey.

“What’s that?” asked Red.

“We need to go and find a special coneflower. The Caregiver Fraggle told me if I had taken this coneflower, this never would have happened to Sunny. I want to go find one for you,” said Mokey.

“But look at Lou! She had Artie with no problems at all!” exclaimed Red.

“I know, but after what happened I believe you can never be too careful. You’re my best friend Red, I don’t want you to go through what I went through,” said Mokey.

“Gosh, I don’t know what to say,” said Red.

“Go on home and wait for me, I’ll go find the flower and then I’ll come home and talk to Boober,” said Mokey.

“No,” said Red.

“Come on Red, I know where I have to go. It’s a little dangerous, but I’ll be all right,” said Mokey.

“No, I won’t go home. I’m going with you,” said Red.

“Red, it’s dangerous! Gobo will be so mad at you!” exclaimed Mokey.

“I kind of left without telling him, so I’m sure he’s already plenty mad. What’s another day going to matter?” asked Red.

“Well, all right. I’ve got a map from the Caregiver. The Coneflowers are in a dark tunnel on the opposite side of the Rock from what we’re used to. But, it shouldn’t take us long,” said Mokey.

“Great! Let’s do it!” exclaimed Red.

Mokey stood up.

“Are you sure you’re ready to leave?” asked Red.

“Yeah, I can come back and see her whenever I want. It’s time to move on now,” said Mokey.

With that the two friends linked arms and headed off on their adventure.

Vonderful! The guys are staying at Grizzly Farms for the night... Chills from the Cavern of the Deceased, but it's a good sort of chill. And now Mokey's healed the break in her heart. Come on, let's go get those cone flowers!
