Hearing this casting news confims this project will not be a simple, tired rehash. :excited:

I think the new voices for Frank's characters are doing a wonderful job!!

I'm HOPING that they aren't doing a sleepy parody of this story.

Miss Piggy as the witch: "I'll get you! and your little prawn too!!!"
That might make the whole movie worth it...

Would have been better if it were Gonzo in the old days:

"I'll get you, my pretty and your little... uh... well... whatever!"

OK, maybe not...

OK...I'd like to tell you how annoyed I am at Henson and most of Hollywood these days for projects like this. When did Hollywood run out of ideas? Why can't we see more original Muppets programming like TVMMC from last year?
That was an original story with the characters trying to put on a variety show. It was like a new Muppet Show in movie form. I loved it. But, this Wizard of Oz rehashing is just horrible. First off, most people will hate it because it cannot follow the more recognizeable movie because of copyright. Secondly, they will complain because Pepe's playing Toto or Miss Piggy's Playing the witches and not Dorothy or that Rowlf's not a major roll. Third they'll complain because the human actor is horrible. Come on! Why not just come up with an original idea, have the Muppets play themselves, and put it on TV or in the theaters? That would be much more enjoyable than comparing this to a 70 year old classic movie. Henson should be ashamed of this. Jim would turn in his grave if he knew about this.

Oh no, I think this could work out just as wonderful:

"I'll get you my pretty, and your little shrimp, too!"

"Hey, lady, I'm a king prawn, okay."

He's just someone who posts here occasionally, always with reliable information. He probably works for Henson.
