Wow, that's so great... congratulations on your 3 years here, Vic!!

And thanks for this thread, it's really awesome! I love reading everyone's responses.

Who was in your freshman class? I'm not sure who registered around the same time I did, but I vividly remember that the first person to welcome me was Muppet Matt. He's someone I miss seeing around here! Though Beau says he's never been great at welcoming new members, he was real sweet in his welcome to me! And certain people in the RHLC became very good friends of mine soon after that.

What top posters/popular members were kind to you/posted back and forth with you? Quite a few, actually. Off the top of my head, William (Ilikemuppets) was always so nice, open, and welcoming. Beau, Beth, Marty, Ed, D'Snowth, Kathy, Nick, Ryan, and Vic have also been so nice to me. At first, I actually felt like I should be distanced from some of you guys and a few other top posters/popular members because I thought y'all were just too cool for me! But I do feel real lucky to be able to talk with and know you guys. It's so great, and makes me feel like I've been here for years instead of just a few months.

What new members did you welcome that have stayed? I have to agree with what Snowthy said, in that it's hard to keep up sometimes. I've welcomed a few members around here, but I'm not sure how many of them have stuck around. Uh-oh... maybe I scare people away!

What will your future hold? I'd love to stay around here with you guys as long as possible. I really look forward to the great things the future holds!

Who was in your freshman class? Well, I've only been here for about half a year, but according to the register dates, I came in around the same time as Java, Jacobschz, Skye, Kiki and MrsWembley.

What top posters/popular members were kind to you/posted back and forth with you? Well, Muppet Matt was the first person to greet me (I miss him!), and the first person I really started talking to was Ilikemuppets (about crêpes, haha). Ed and Snowthy were nice to me too.

What new members did you welcome that have stayed? I haven't really ever welcomed anyone, I'm a semi-new member myself. Maybe I should start

What will your future hold? Hopefully staying here for a long while! : ) I love everyone here at MC, it's like my e-family.

Who was in your freshman class? Umm...I know ILM was....as well as the loser Baba, Rosewood and all the others who signed up in Summer-Fall of '05...not sure about all the other guys...

Um...well a lot of dudes liked me when I first came here...I distinctly remember the first one to welcome me was good ol' Count...as wel as the ol Prawnster ...but the people who I chatted with were/still are Martin,SnowthBopaLeeBop,Kendra,Barry Lee, BEAR,MrsPepper, TA (when he was here), Beau,Dandan, Vibs amongst a whole other roster of people

Phil, Cindy, Dave/Gorgan, Chillydown, Kevin/Fozzie, Warrick, Luke, Jogchem, Jackie, Emmy, Scott Scarecrow, Jamie, Travis, Smig, TravellingMat, Quinn, DW Mckim, etc.

I can't really remember, aside from Phil. I think everyone was at eachother's throats for awhile. Yarrr, matey! Kevin and Chilly I think have to be some of the most friendliest people ever on MC, as far as super long time posters.

What new members did you welcome that have stayed?

Dr Tooth, Sarah Yzmah,... man, I can't remember.

What will your future hold?

I plan on always popping by and checking out Muppet Central as long as its up.
I believe as long as humanity exists, the Muppets and Jim Henson's vision will exist.

Hopefully the future will be an END to the Muppet franchise AND Muppet fandom stagnation.

I mean Firefly "browncoats" fans out number us 1000/1, and that show was only on the air what, 11 times. And Farscape, wasnt on that long.

It seems strange, but Muppet/Sesame fans are STILL to this day very underground, very fringe. But maybe thats good. Were not like Star Trek, Star Wars, or gaming systems.

I hope the future is a bright glorious future return of the Muppets
a lot of the older posters returning
a massive flood of great new forumers from worldwide

Well case in point, me and Luke had epic back and forth flame wars...
like Obi Wan and Annakin at the end of Revenge of the Sith bad.

Well, can't say I've ever been in a flame war. I know better than to waste my time with such things. I think the worst its been for me was this one member about a year ago that I wasn't getting along with at all. She went a little nuts and would try to carry it on outside the forum. Then eventually she apologized and we became friends. She's not with us anymore and I wish she was. She was starting to make her way into becoming a great regular here. May Rosewood RIP.

Who was in your freshman class? Hmmm I came right after Very Merry Muppet aired on TV (in fact, I joined that night!). Tons of people joined right around that time, but few stayed. I remember Manda (my left handed cohort!) and SS (but I think he was a tad earlier than me...) Even though Jackie, Beau, and Emmy were much 'older' than me, we were united by our love and belief in the BBB!

What top posters/popular members were kind to you/posted back and forth with you? Beaker was nice to me right off! He helped me figure out subscribing and unsubscribing to threads! Then Beaker and Jamie helped me get the coolest Pepe avatar (which I wish I still had but I lost it when my computer crashed )....goodness everyone was so nice!

What new members did you welcome that have stayed? I'm not the best at greeting people, but I do remember Kip, and Beth, and several others...

What will your future hold? Well I hope to not have another extended disappearance!

Two years and loads of memories...

Well, I wasn't gonna say a thing about my anniversary buuutt since Vic brought up his I'll just insert my two cents. As of last thursday I'll have been a member of Muppet Central for two years. Oh man the memories and events tied back to this place for me! Albeit I spent one of my two years MIA. All in all I can say that I'm really attached to this place...and well it means a lot and holds tons of memories. I remember coming along the same time as Redboobergurl and Kimp and Uncle Deadly. The first person ever to IM me was UD (Vic do you ever hear from him?). I had my "people who I look for their posts" list, members like: The Count, Fish'n'Wolfe, Beebers, Beauregard, Whatever...who I would always go and read (you'd be amazed at the wealth of Muppetyt knowledge there). I'm afraid I can't remember names of exactly who welcomed me at first. I just kinda snuck in and well let's leave it at that (Kevin aka Fish'n'Wolfe don't even dare mention those awfully stupid emails)! Anyways, soon I was hooked to this place and was having a blast in threads such as "The Bathtubs" and the MC Dorms (Scooter remember when you roomed with me for a semester??) and Role play games (whatever happened to those?). I read a ton and learned a lot...annnndd then I learned so much that I started to muffin. Somehow I became the mother to a boy 7 years older than me and 16 year old twins (Mopfam). My love for Steve was accidentally discovered (looonnggg story). And my list of felonies (to the bus anyone?) Then there's the friends I've made. Beau, who's become my closest friend and confidant. Vibsy, whom I'm proud to say I drug her here! Fish'n'wolfe my best friend. Then there's Ryan and Lisa who live only hours away from me (so tempting to drive up there for a day and have a Muppety meet up) And new family like The Count who's become my big brother. Which is fine with me seeing as I don't have one in reality. Dave (Vic) who well he's my son but also a good friend. The MC I first joined well isn't here anymore but that's alright. The new members are great. And if we all stick with it....well our favorite place shall live on.
