Everyone knows the regular duos and teams on Sesame Street. Big Bird and Snuffy, Ernie and Bert, Telly and Oscar,Telly and Baby Bear, Ernie and Cookie Monster etc. But Iv'e noticed there was a few times over the years when certain charachters appeared together that weren't together many other times after that and if they were it was only in a group scene not directly interacting with one another. I remember Grover and the Count only being together twice, once at Charlies restaurant when he kept bringing him Hot Dogs and once when Grover was talking about the number 2 and he asked count if that was his favorite number. The same thing applies to Bert and Kermit, they were only seen together in the subway sketch and the only interaction they had was Bert saying "Hi Kermit" Also Herry and Kermit were only seen together twice, once in the famous sketch about him showing what's inside of Herry Monster, and the time he and Cookie were fighting over the bicycle and Kermit told them to share so they both ate it. Any other odd combinations that you all know of? Feel free to name a few.

I think an odd combination was telly and Cookie Monster in the sketch where they demonstrate the difference of eating cookies fast and slow. Tellys role could have been given to Kermit, Ernie or Prarie Dawn.

There was a song from 2002 about opposites with Erine and Grover, And an episode where Telly was in Ernie and berts appartment. Also the 1978 chrismas special where Kermit and Big Bird were talking to each other. There was an Episode this season with Hots And Cookie Monster, also their was the sharing song with Elmo and Cookie Monster there once Was a paring of Grover and Elmo as delivery Monsters.

There's another skit with Kermit, Herry and Cookie Monster. I have it downloaded. Kermit is telling Herry to come and feel this number. Herry comes out and feels it. *he has a blindfold on* Herry says its a number 5 (which it is) Kermit tells Herry to take off his blindfold to show Herry was right. Herry sees it then smashes it. Herry says he's going to go get some glue. Cookie comes out with a blindfold on too. Kermit tells Cookie that he won't be able to feel the number to guess. Cookie has another idea. So Cookie eats it and says its a number 5. Kermit wonders how Cookie knew and Cookie says "It taste like number five, it has to be number five." Funny skit. I enjoyed it.

I think the reason why Big Bird and Kermit are seen as an odd combination, is because Bird Bird was usually only in the street scenes and main storylines of the show and we rarely saw him in off the street skits. Kermit was usually only seen in off the street skits and rarely did we see him in any on the street main storylines.

Boy, they sure have a lot of different versions of the sharing song. First it was Ernie and Cookie Monster, and then later they would do the exact same number with Ernie and Elmo, then Elmo and Zoe, and apparantly Elmo and Cookie too. They couldn't just have one or two different remakes?

I think they should have remade that song with Big Bird and Snuffy. For some reason I think it would have been a lot better with those 2 singing that song, than any of the others.

I don't think so, but that's just me. Maybe Big Bird and Telly, or Big Bird and Baby Bear. For some reason Big Bird and Snuffy doing that scene would be weird. Couldn't hurt though.

Also, another odd combo was seeing Kermit and Baby Bear interact on one of the hurricane episodes. It seemed kinda weird.

I don't think Big Bird and Kermit interacting in CEOSS was odd at all. It was actually really cool to see those two together. They weren't seen onscreen together much, but you knew they were close.

To me, one of the greatest Muppet teams ever is Big Bird and Oscar. Funny how they are both performed by the same person. They work so well off of each other its too bad we can't see them together more often. They are paired up quite a bit though.

Big Bird was also a special guest on the Muppet Show episode that guest starred Leslie Uggams."Kermit and I come from the same neighborhood,Sesame Street".
Plus New York City based comedian Denis Leary claims that Big Bird and Kermit were together at Jim Henson's funeral singing"It's Not Easy Being Green".
