That's because Canada and the Canucks are AMAZING!MrsPepper said:THIS THREAD IS AMAZING. <3 Thanks for mentioning me!
Well, I was told that beavertails were similar to funnel cake only in the shape of a beavertail.Peppi said:I had funnel cake when I was in florida. Beavertails are totally different. :/ They're like thick friend pancakes with lots of cinnamon and brown sugar.
I especially like the "Canadian Moment" sketches because it's like exactly the way American TV stereotypes Canadians! It's funny, there was one with Kathy Greenwood and she was wearing this black wig, and I sweared it made her look a lot like when Elizabeth Montgomery would wear that black wig to play Serena on Bewitched.Peppi said:Yay for posting Air Farce clips! A canadian show about canada.
Yep!Peppi said:Snowthers, you talked about famous canadians? There are tons of famous canadian musicians.
No worries. It's close enough.D'Snowth said:Well, I was told that beavertails were similar to funnel cake only in the shape of a beavertail.
Where I come from, there are only two kinds of tea: "sweetened tea", and "unsweetened tea", and both of them are iced; no one drinks "hot tea" anymore.MrsPepper said:When I was in Florida I asked alot of stupid questions about stuff that is probably obvious to you. Example, "What is sweet tea?" Where I'm from, 'iced tea' is always sweet. "Sweet tea" is what I call "iced tea", sweeted cold tea (with lemon or sugar, etc.). The "iced tea" I got in the states is exactly what it sounds like: cold tea. ><
Oh yeah!
I've been going to french-immersion schools most of my life, so we learned the bilingual version of the anthem. I do know both of them seperately though.Madame Poivre said:Faylo, I find it interesting how you wrote the anthem in both languages at once. I was taught both the english and the french versions seperately as a kid. I still know them both by heart out loud, but I don't think I could spell the french version to type it up.
