Ooooh....what comes next. It's so, strange. But I like it because it's supposed to be strange.

Where's their pot of gold now?

{The Burrow}

The tunnel grew narrow fast. Nora did not appreciate the feel of veins pressing against her delicate form. The Cheshire did not seem to mind, if fact, he appeared intrigued. “If you think about it,” He said. “It does have a rather homey touch to it.” He slowly formed into a frail skinny cat. His form wasn’t as plump as it used to be. His fur had lost all color that made him a beautiful cat. The only color it had was dreadful corpse beige; his bones made him all the more repulsive. They were prominent even when he remained still.

“This isn’t what I remember of the burrow.” She muttered.

“What’s to remember? It’s just a memory.” He said.

“It’s peculiar of Rabbit to not have reacted at what’s become of the burrow.” She said, admiring the grotesqueness of it all.

“Too busy with that watch of his… I wonder what’d happen if I were to break it.” He said, fantasizing joyously of the madness that would have ensued in Rabbit.

“It wouldn’t be worth your time really.” She said.

“Time is but a consideration,” He started. “When you’re here.”

“Maybe that’s why you haven’t aged a day.” She said.

“Notice how you don’t age at all when you reside here.” He said. “Your world ages the body so quickly.” He added with a yawn.

“Earth and Wonderland aren’t so different, once you think about it.” She said.

“Tell me.” He said.

“The elderly wish to be young; the young wish to be old. People kill randomly without any reason to at all. Everything is corrupt there. No difference at all.” She explained.

“Fun.” He said.

{The Village}

The village was small, pale, and colorless. It was where the leprechauns reigned peacefully some time back. The tiny inhabitants, once idle, were now frail laborers, heavily watched over by the Queen’s loyal cards.

“We made it.” She said, brushing her white dress clean.

“Quiet, there are guards here. I see a useful weapon near your foot there…take it.” He said.

Nora picked it up cautiously. “There’s blood on it.” She said her stomach churning at the sight.

The skinny cat stretched his flexible body freely, without a care in the world. He looked to the knife gaily. “Golly, bet you never thought once you’d be holding a butcher’s knife. How precious you look.” He commented with a snicker. His red eyes lingered on it curiously. Cheshire nudged her forward; a mute reminder to her that she had to continue. “Talk with one of the Leprechauns, they may just help you.” He advised.

“When friends encourage you to kill—it’s disturbing.” Nora said, blowing her strands of dark blue to the side. “I was thinking the same thing. I just need to stay weary of those hideous cards.” She said.

“Hello, young Nora.” The youthfulness of the anonymous leprechaun wasn’t visible anymore. Labor had drained every bit of life left in him. The little man’s eyes were red without any sleep. He looked up to her good-naturedly, noting the saddened expression on her periwinkle face. “Our land is destroyed; our spirit crushed.” The nameless citizen explained.

“Reminds me of the asylum, is there no joy here?” Nora asked.

His droopy dead eyes were most heartbreaking to the kind-hearted girl; his lips quivered. “Slavery and happiness do not dwell in the same house.” He stated, before wandering away.
She only looked on.

“I smell the scent of Rabbit nearby…let’s cross the bridge.” Cheshire suggested.

“Agreed.” Nora said.

They headed for the bridge quietly.
Secretive eyes of the villagers burned into their backs.
At the end of the bridge, they met up with a cautious leprechaun.
The little man spoke, “Stir up no trouble, stranger. The Queen’s agents are ruthless.”

Nora looked on stubbornly. “I’m not afraid of her or her creatures. Never was, really. You should stand up to them.” She challenged politely.

“Defiance is useless. While the Queen reigns, only death can release us from our misery.” He retorted.

“Or her death, I suppose.” Cheshire said, popping into the conversation cheerily.

The leprechaun sighed, letting them have their way.

She took off with the ever grinning cat to the next bridge.

Mmm... So that's how she got the Vorpal Blade. Absolutely love the imagery presented here. Dark and dreary with just a hint of hidden beauty and wonder. Please... May we have some more?

The Cheshire cat is a lazy, alienated monster who is estranged from the more fearful. It is probably the only one of its kind due to its utter uselessness. Agile, illogical, and genius, one would wonder why the tall near-skeletal feline was even brought into creation in the game...

[He's really useless in the game, but not in my story. All he does is offer advice]

Elated on the surface, but hostile underneath by nature. He is neutral to allies or foes. Depends if he feels like having a bit of a tea party with the residents/wanderers and such. Sadly, he is too lazy to feed off his impetus to kill others.

This frail skinny feline stands up to 4 ft. Pale beige in color (rarely any fur); a bony creature, yellow wide eyes, a wide menacing grin, and a long tail. His claws are visible even when relaxed.

His ears have piercings of silver earrings.
Very contrary to the illustrations done in Lewis's book.

A description of the gothic Cheshire cat to Eddie.
Little descriptions will come along so you can have a good idea on what the characters look like.
