My brother firmly believed that the new Batman movie should be called "Batman Begins Returns." I must say, I agree.

I'm excited about it too, though. It's filming in Chicago this summer, and we're moving there in a couple of weeks. Maybe I can hang out on the streets long enough to sneak my way into the movie!

Funny you should mention this, I just recently read a letter posted on a movie critic type website where a guy did just this. Him and his buddy were the only ones there apparently, they didnt sneak in (an army couldnt get in there, theyre keeping some things very hush hush), but they did hang out and watch some of the public shoots. Although they couldnt get a picture with Aaron Eckart, who was in his Two-Face Makeup covered by a long hooded cloak, Christopher Nolan apparently asked for him personally after the shooting was done once he had heard they were there all day. He got pictures of Nolan (which he posted), shot the breeze for awhile with the man and during the course of the day the crew let him in on some decent info regarding the movie.

I wouldn't go that far. After all, Nolan did have a horrible score for his Batman film, compared to the work from Danny Elfman in the two Tim Burton Batman films.

I want a catchy score, a score that a superhero score, like something from the X-Men films, Spider-Man films, etc. I don't want something that's dark and dreary.

Hmm...I dunno...dark and dreary really works for Batman, after all, he is dark and dreary. For me, a campy Batman never worked and never will. He has to be dark, serious, and focused. As does the score.

Im going to have to agree... Nolan has really revived the Batman series. I love Danny Elfman (Especially in Burtons stuff), but I loved the Batman Begins soundtrack aswell.

I'm glad there's hope for me as a Chicago Batman stalker.

I have to disagree that Nolan can do no wrong. Just my opinion, actually, but I really wasn't fond of The Prestige. I liked the cast, I liked the overall mood of the film, but I was very unsatisfied by the screenplay and some aspects of the direction. It made me worry a little bit for The Dark Knight.

Of course, then I watched Batman Begins again on DVD and was reminded of just how well Nolan reinvented that universe for the movies. I'm pretty sure it's in capable hands.

Hmmmmm...so Harvey Dent will become Two-Face in The Dark Knight? Kewl! He's my second-fave Bat-villain, after the Joker.

I also heard a rumor that Scarecrow will make a return appearance.

Hmm...much as I want to see Two-face, I'd be rather annoyed if they went in the "duel villians team up against Batman" direction, following the Burton movies and Spiderman. It's always driven me crazy when two villains suddenly get along in search of a common goal...they should at least be plotting against one another at the same time.

On the other hand...it was worth it to see Tommy-Lee Jones and Jim Carrey chewing on the scenery to steal the lime-light the whole time...Gotta love that.

Tommy Lee more than chewed the scenery in Batman Forever. He tore out big chunks, stomped all over it, and ultimately left nothing standing in his wake. This is just my opinion, but I didn't care for his interpretation of Two-Face.

You know, I do agree with you Beau about multiple villains, much as I'd like to see Two-Face. At least one baddie always gets short shrift. These are just rumors and speculations from sources I've read online, so none of them may be true, but...the Joker is the main villain; Scarecrow may return to help the Joker concoct his lethal Joker-toxin; and Harvey Dent may become Two-Face at the end of the film, setting up his appearance in the (supposed) 3rd film. We won't know, of course, until The Dark Knight appears next year. But I do wish Scarecrow had appeared more in the excellent Batman Begins.

Filmwad actually somehow predicted this some time ago, but rumors are beginning to circulate that Brat-packer Anthony Michael Hall might be playing the Riddler in the upcoming Dark Knight movie. Filmjunk heard from Moviehole who heard from film ick who heard from "sources" that Hall will be playing Edward Nygma, the Riddler's alter-ego, potentially in the period of time before Nygma dons his infamous "question mark" outfit. Film ick is also saying that Aaron Eckhart has been wearing the Two-Face makeup, presumably not just for kicks. Which means that at least three major villains will appear in this new Batman film, in some form or another. All of those previously-mentioned websites are pointing out that this may not be as bad as Spider-man 3's "three villain problem." After all, they may not all be in costume, and they may not all be griping about their emotions.​

Ridler too now...Maybe we'll have a movie montage of villians Batman has taken down...and then begin the movie in Arkam Asylam where they plot an escape, bust through the wall, and start a wave of terror over Gothem...

Oh heaven help us if they do. *shivers and screams*
