I most likely will see this, probably next week some time.At work,we've been shipping the book for the past month(on and off).Looks like the premise of the movie might work.Haven't been to the movies in months,so this one should be a good one to start back with.(still haven't watched anything in the theater, other than Sideways & Closer).
Good good! I almost have you converted!!! Seriously though, it's a kids movie big time although there are a few obscure drug references that would go over the heads of young kids the film is aimed at!
Have seen Series of Unfortunate Events [fell in love with Liam Aiken!!!! ], and yeah I'm going to see Robots because a lot of my favourite celebs are in it. Jim Broadbent and Ewan McGregor primarily. And Amanada Bynes and Robin Williams to a lesser extent. Which company is making it? Is Robots from the makers of Shrek or Ice Age? And booo on the magic roundabout. I have a feeling you have to be a fan to enjoy the movie!
I haven't see LS or read the books yet, personally.I'm going to go to the library for the books & wait until LS goes to video.Star Wars III looks interesting.

Robots is made by the makers of Ice Age, which is the primary reaon I want to see it. Ice Age has a marvelous dry humour If they captured that again in this it should be good. But I have grave doubts about it's being very good since Halle Berry's in it *cough*
I liked Robots pretty well--it was fun, and definitely something that a lot of kids would like. I agree that it seemed like it was trying too hard at times, but I thought a lot of the gags worked. It felt like a weird melange of Monsters Inc, Futurama, and Shrek, but overall I was entertained.
