“ What are you doing way back there? “ Red asked. “

“ I guess I must have fainted. “ Wembley said as he caught up.

“ Sorry Wem. “ Rebecca said as she gave him a hug which made him feel a little better.

Rebecca is a very haggy lovie fragglet which annoys JR quite a bit because she’s always trying to hug and kiss him, and he hates it, but he can‘t do a lot about it because he always gets told he should be nice to his little sister.

JR and Rebecca were born less than a year apart and had often been mistaken for twins because they look alike except Rebecca is normal height.

Meanwhile back at Doc’s place…

Doc still sleeping in his chair startled himself awake. “ What time is it? “ He said as he looked at his watch. “ 11 o’ clock! I was supposed to meet Ned an hour ago! “ He quickly got up from his chair and got his cell out from his back pocket . “ Hi Ned! “ He said in his normal pleasant embarrassed voice. “ I must have dosed off for a couple of hours. I hope you didn’t wait for me too long. “ He said as he walked out of the room.
Sprocket opened one eye and watched Doc walk down the hall talking on the phone, he nudges Gobo who was sleeping like a log. Gobo didn’t move at first sprocket then licked the side of his face.

“ Oh Red stop that. “ Gobo said in his sleep. “

Sprocket giggled covering his mouth trying not to. Gobo opened his eyes to see Sprocket looking right at him. He jumped backwards into the pillow looking around then he realised where he was. “ Oh Sprocket! “ he said as he put his hand on his chest.

“ Whine whine. “ Sprocket said feeling bad because he scared him again. “ Hey it’s all right. I guess you’re going have to get used to that. Outer space makes me a little nervous. “ Gobo said with a smile.

Sprocket then jumped down from the bed shook some loose fur off came over to the side of the bed. Being careful not to jump on him too hard Gobo climbed on holding onto Sprocket collar as they headed down the hall.
Doc’s house was very old, but well maintained. The floors was all polished wood, the walls were covered in gold wall paper with small red velvet roses. A Victorian style lamp lit the hall, old pictured some black and white hung on the wall of other silly creatures who Gobo never seen before. He then looked up to see the ceiling which was painted high gloss white.

They came to the kitchen. Doc was still on the phone. Sprocket sat on the floor, wagging his tale causing hoping he would ne noticed. Gobo to slide right off him. Doc too into his conversation to see him at first. Sprocket waited few seconds then barked. Doc smiled and signalled for him to be quiet.

Sprocket leaving Gobo to sort himself out got his dish sat at Doc feet and barked again. “ Oh sorry Sprocket I guess you want your breakfast. Ned I’ll be over in a bit. “ He said as he hug up the phone.

“ Why not invite mister shimopheeny over here? “ Gobo suggested. “ Well he never met you Gobo. I don’t know how he would feel if he found out I had a Fraggle. “ Doc said as he was opening a can of dog food.

“ I would like to meet him. You two seem to get along ok so he can’t be that bad. “ Gobo said. “ What’s he like anyway? “

“ Ned is… well.. His own person but in a nice way. “ Doc said simply as Sprocket did his impersonation of Ned which was pretending to choke and fall on the floor. “ Sprocket he’s not that bad. “

Gobo chuckled.

“ Well if you really want to see him I’ll invite him over, but how to do it is the question. “ Doc said raking his brain.

“ What do you mean? All you have to do is carry me or lift me up I touch him like I did with you. “ Gobo said.
“ I suppose I could do that. “ Doc said as he got out his cell again to call Ned. “ Ned it’s Doc. How about you come over here seeing that I’m probably never going to get around to coming over there. --- You would! I’ll put the kettle on and I’ll see you in a bit.“ Doc hung up the phone quickly put the kettle on the stove and ran into his bed room to get changed, he was still in his night clothes.

Sprocket was eating like he hadn’t seen food in a week. Slobbering and munching pushing it across the kitchen floor. Than he ran to his water dish and had a sloppy drank, hen he ran to Gobo and was about to give him a kiss when he said. “ HOLD IT! I don’t think so. “

Sprocket was really full of beans and was doing circles around the kitchen barking, and dancing about. Gobo was dodging in all directions to keep from getting run over when he backstopped into the water dish spilling water all over his back which was very cold, not to mention disgusting because it had bits of food in it.

Sprocket laughed hystrallly landing on his back and pointing when he saw what happened. Gobo was no impressed. “ Oh very funny. “ Sprocket continued laughing. Gobo had a quick sniff to make sure it was only water because Sprocket was acting really happy, but it was Sprocket was just being goofy.
Sprocket soon settles down as Doc immerged from the bed room wearing his normal clothes but only a lot tidier. Shirt tucked in with his tie done up properly, his shoes polished. His taste in colours had much to be desired. Bright Hawaiian shirt with grey stripped pants, his tie had red squares on it, hair neatly combed and gelled to one side which didn’t last very long it soon was in his face again.

Just at that moment there was a knock at the kitchen door. Doc opened it. “ Hello Ned! “ He said as he let him in.

“ Hi Chris. “ As Ned often called him really didn’t like the name Doc too much he always said that wasn’t his name and refused to call him that.

I love it, zeldazipple, and I can't wait to see more! I really want to see Ned's reaction to Gobo.

“ Hello sprocket. “ Ned said petting him on the head not seeing Gobo who was standing right next to him. Sprocket politely wagged his tale. Gobo went to reach for his hand but wasn’t sure if now was the right time to make his appearance so he thought better of it.


“ Would you like a tea? “ Doc offered as he was poring boiling water into a teapot, and putting it on the kitchen table.

“ Love one.” He smiled.

Ned was quite short compared to Doc, he looked somewhat like Benny in the Movie Benny and Joon. Longish black greying hair, and a grey Boober like hat. With a pink dress shirt which was buttoned wrong, and 3 of the buttons was undone at the top, and was un-tucked. He wore long straight legged pants with big flairs at the bottoms. He walked with a walking stick, and was a bit of the skinny side.
He said down at one of the kitchen chairs close to the window.

“ Oh there’s someone I want you to meet. Doc said as he grabbed Gobo and put him really close to Ned. “ Now’s your chance go touch him. “ Doc said quietly to Gobo who was somewhat shaken by being grabbed expectedly.

“ I can’t! -- I mean-- I changed my mind. “ Gobo stuttered.

Ned thought Doc has lost his marbles. He could only see Doc holding his hands about 12 inches apart and he appeared to be talking to himself.

“ Are you all right Doc? “ Ned asked in concern but not too concerned he seen Doc do goofy things before.

Doc then suddenly shoved Gobo into Ned the instant they touched Gobo beca
“ What on earth?! “ Ned said kind of shocked as he grabbed on to Gobo.

“ Hi! “ Gobo said nervously.

“ What kind of strange creature are you? “ Ned said lifting Gobo up as high as his arms could reach.

“ I’m a Fraggle. “ Gobo said trying to stay calm.

“ A FOGGLE! “ Ned yelled as he gave Gobo a really big hug almost smothering him.

Doc and sprocket both howled laughing. “ Well you wanted to meet him. “ Dog laughed.

“ Very funny. “ Gobo said muffled in Neds arms. “ Um can you pu tme down now? “

“ Sure thing Frugal. “ Ned said

“ Fraggle “ Gobo corrected

“ Fongle. “ Ned said deliberately.

Sprocket jestered his imitation again like, “ Y ou know why I do that now. "

Gobo nodded in agreement.

He he. I thought you might get a kick out of that. I kind of pictured mister Shimelphennie beig something like Benny and edwards scissorhands yup dependly Johnny Deppp happinging here. He's all so british as well.
