Ok, guys, I have officially given the title of kewlest teacher on the face of the planet to my Social Studies teacher! He is so incredibly cool! He's hyper and gives us a greeting everyday e.g.: "Good morning people and happy Friday! *cheers* And today I have *ruffles newspaper* the news *ruffles newspaper more* of *and more* the day. Now, these are all true stories. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and some of you may even puke!"

Cool right? I thought so. Anyway, he's great, and to make things even better...Drum roll please! *drum rolls by* Thank you D'Snowth... Anyway, he likes the Muppets!!! I turned in my current events on Friday, and I used Kermit's 50th as one of them, and when I got it back he had underlined GMC and MCC and said they were his two favorites!!! I'm so happy! I aim to find out how big of a Muppet fan he is. And if he's big enough, I'll invite him to join MC!! It'll be so cool!

Thanks for listening...

 :smirk:  Anyway, for me, by the time I was in 8th grade, they stopped calling it Social Studies, and started calling it History.

Actually, this is a study of being social! Like psychology, and Learning modalities and stuff. It's actually fun. And not boring...

YAY FOR AWESOME TEACHERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't they the greatest?!?!?!? Man, I wish my teachers would just announce themselves as obsessed Muppet fans. Have a feeling it won't happen, though. Considering that when my English teacher was going over a practice AP test with us... well, here, lemme put it this way:

teacher: With multiple choice, all you gotta do is figure out which one is different. It's like- you guys ever watch Sesame Street?

Unidentified girl who sits a few rows behind me: Yay!!!!

teacher: ...ooooookay. Anyway. You know, the song, one of these things is not like the other-

Me: <singing> One of these things just doesn't belong. Can you-

teacher: right, well it's just like that, you have to see which thing is different.

...and judging from the look on his face at the time, that's about where I thought to myself, "oh great. The guy thinks Sesame Street is just for kids. Oy."

But anyways, WONDERFUL that your teacher likes Muppets! Hooray for him! Hooray for You!

Sometimes at my high school, they would refer to it as Social Science. I always wondered where the science fit in. Oh well...
