break a leg, Princeton! My High School did "Once Upon A Mattress" when I was a freshman but I wasn't in it; I just did makeup. It's a great show though! If I could be in it I'd want to be the Queen or Princess Winnifred...both very different parts but great fun

Update

Well, I did it. I sang my audition song pretty good but I still think I could've done better. I totally messed up the dancing part. I tried my best, but it was pretty unimpressive to say the least. Afterwards, I talked to the director and explained my concerns about how I did. I got the feeling he liked it okay and he told me not to worry. So, I should know in a week or two, but don't worry, I'll keep you posted.

You never know about these things, Princeton. You may have done better than you thought. The worst part of an audition is afterwards when all you can think about is what you should have done or could have done better. From a fellow actor who is working the audition circuit out in the real theater world on a regular basis, I can relate. Break many legs, my friend.

Got a part as a Knight; not sure which one exactly, but I'm still super excited!

I completely forgot about this thread. So in a nutshell, here's what my theater life was like after MATTRESS. I did four shows back to back: BYE BYE BIRDIE (Reporter; Mr Johnson), GYPSY (Georgie, Phil), LYSISTRATA (2nd Athenian) and KING AND I (Amazon), and then was blacklisted for 3 1/2 years. Then just this past spring, a miracle happened and I was cast as Friar Francis in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. So, here's how my audition schedule looks for the next year:

-Hair
-Music Man
-Princess Bride (yes, THAT one)
-Dog Sees God
-Fairly Tale Courtroom
-Cuckoo's Nest Casino

Needless to say, the next time I get into a show, I won't wait five years to let you all know. And feel free to ask questions about the shows and roles I've done or are about to do.
