THE STORY BEHIND THE CAMEO!

Apparently, Jerry Nelson's daughter had always dreamed of being a movie star. So, to grant her wish, Jim Henson gave her a cameo appearance with her father in The Great Muppet Caper. She didn't live to see the finished film.

In MUPPETS TAKE MANHATAN:

you get three cameos from three female Muppeteers:

Karen Prell and Kathy Mullen help Miss Piggy gather his purse items after she's almost mugged in Central Park

and

Fran Brill has a cameo as a reporter.
