You Get Me Ev’ry Time
Verse One: (Piggy)
I do my best to stay relaxed
But every time you speak, can’t help but ask- myself
How on earth does he do it, keep me aiming at his precious heart
There must be something in him, something magic, something dark

But light enough, that he gets me ev’ry time…

Verse Two: (Kermit)
I try so hard, to be prepared
Because every time I turn the corner, you’re there- again
I try to stay calm, but your pull is so strong
And if I ignore you, then I’m doing wrong

But apparently, right enough that you get me ev’ry time…

Chorus: (Both)
I just can’t wrap my head around it
I just can’t seem to understand it
How is it possible that we’re meant to be…
A frog and a pig, could you even see it?
One of us is chic, and the other’s green- it
Somehow seems, the relationship would fall…

Perhaps, that is the best thing about us- after all

Verse 3: (Piggy)
I do my best, to look my greatest
Sometimes you glance, but then you continue- working
How on earth do I take it, Piggy stand up and face it
It’s a continuous “war”, and Moi will have many more

(Just because), he can get me ev’ry time…

Verse 4: (Kermit)
I don’t see why, I must confess it
Our love is fine, (away from the press)- anyways
I know she’s a diva; she’s always been this way
I know I’m a hard one; it’s not hard to say

I am because; she gets me ev’ry time…

(Repeat Chorus)
Bridge: (Both)
We’ve been together for years, and cheers to many more
Sometimes things may get a wee bit sore
But your intention’s clear, you want me in your hands…

Perhaps if we spent, a little more time
We’ll find that pot of gold, on the other side
And then we won’t have to feel so- weird…

Just take- (I’ll take your arm)
Just follow me- (follow you)
Don’t be shy (No, no)
You shouldn’t be
Because you are the love of my- life…
And then one day, it’ll feel okay…

When you get me, ev’ry time…

Thanks sooo much! What did you mean by that third sentence there? Did I call you by the wrong name of accident? :embarrassed:

*Working to perfect more poems. Coming soon.*
No, dear! I was kidding! (ckuckles) I didn't mean to be so rude to vous. You done it again, Bridget. Keep writing for moi, vous and everybody.

Pardon my French if I say "moi instead of me or my and "vous" instead of you.

The Reason
Inspiration can easily be defined as a thought or action that motivates your brain to perform
Inspiration can also come from several aspects of life; millions in my case
Why is it that my most prized inspiration comes from Jim Henson’s physical creations?
This is truly a difficult question to answer, due to all the answers that could be inserted
However, to give a simple yet suitable explanation, unity is an important characteristic in life
And so is the ability to touch hearts and brighten faces with sparks of humorous joy
These things he possessed. These things he displayed. These things he lived.

How to Befriend a Gonzo :concern:

*Befriending a Muppet unique as Gonzo can be quite complicated. Allow me to give you the proper steps.*

When meeting the blue fellow for the very first time, try to introduce your “different” side.
By different, I mean, the side we often intentionally attempt to hide.
When conversing with Gonzo, fibbing about your true hobbies and life goals is unnecessary.
Always reveal what inspires you, what you wish to do, and what you want to become in the near future.

Take the time to dig a bit deeper into his soul; inside you shall find something precious and glittery.
Not only the fact that this Muppet has a sincere love for performing wild stunts,
But also that Gonzo is one you can learn determination from when you lack it.
He is one that can himself in any situation, no matter the public’s view.

Try starting a conversation about an upcoming event, or perhaps something random.
After at least five minutes, you will clearly see that Gonzo has an entire different perspective of the world.
You should see that his mind is programmed to think in such a way, to be one of the most beloved Muppets.
You should see that he has had a special something stuffed into his soul from Jim, himself.
