Fat chance on anyone in here changeing there ways. We muppet fans are really suborn
I'm assuming "stubborn" is what you meant.

And YES... if stubborn means wanting Muppet entertainment that makes us laugh and is of high quality. If stubborn means we want the creators of such entertainment to be true to the characters we fell in love with and not to devalue their entire property just to skim a few bucks.

And if stubborn means speaking out to let them know that's what we want...

You bet! Guilty as charged!

I have been thinking.Even if we do come up with ideas, the powers that be are unlikely or reluctant to use them for fear of people then saying Hey, that was my idea-where is my check and royalties. In fact alot of TV productions wont accept ideas or script ideas for that reason and might only look at something if it goes through an Agent.

That is why we're not submitting them. Just posting them here. No idea is immutable. The nub of an idea can be embroidered in many ways. The point here is to suggest ideas "under the radar".

Let's be perfectly honest... if the Disney company thinks that something is a good idea, they aren't going to balk at appropriating it, turning it around, re-arranging it, and calling it their own. That's what the humongous Disney Legal Department is for. That's why they get paid.

So, since we're all so crazy to see them do something that pleases us, we should be articulating exactly what that is.

I, for one, am willing to creatively think for free as long as they start giving up some quality entertainment. I got a million ideas. And I can think up more. Its easy. The worth of any commodity is dictated by it's supply...and ideas are free. DOING something with them is not... the option to which rests solely in the lap of MHC/Disney.

If there are any ideas that you DON'T want to have lifted for the benefit of the Muppets, PLEASE don't post them.

I dont mind giving ideas for free, but I was just raising what would be the point of doing so if they werent going to use it?

I don't know, nor can I guarantee thet they will or won't use any suggestion from anywhere. Even here.

But in the mean-time, just like every other thread here on the forum, it could be considered "just for fun" if that's what gets the ball rolling.

We know the result of NOT doing it. That would be... nothing. What we don't know is the result of doing it. And in my estimation, the potential for something GOOD coming out of us just bandying about creative ideas FAR outweighs the certainty of not.

I think we're all too uptight about being presumptuous with the Muppets. Maybe it's a crisis of confidence. Maybe it's the misconception that just because somebody else is doing the job that they've already thought of everything possible and that our ideas are pre-invalid. Do they want help? Maybe, maybe not. But inspiration comes from some of the most unassuming places. Whatever it is, we need to break the "I'm not worthy" mindset and start accepting that we ARE creative and maybe, just maybe, we have something to contribute.

So this is the perfect opportunity to indulge ourselves and post what we think are our own good ideas. Nobody from the company will be there to say "go away, kid, you're buggin' me." Its a forum. This is exactly what a forum is for, by definition.

And in the best of all possible worlds, somebody hits on something. Something genius. Something so cosmically simple that it's been overlooked by even the folks who stare at the Muppets day in and day out from their desk at MHC. And that idea sparks something new. Something actionable. Something that gives an impetus to future Muppet greatness.

Isn't that exactly what we're all here for?

So, perhaps a NEW thread is where this should go?

Just to keep it neat and tidy...
