Umbrellas popping out would be rather neat. I also wonder how well these hold up to sun light and such. Guess they would have to be weather resistant, unless they are easily replaced. I can't imagine what their clothes might look like after a few months if they never get replaced or at least washed.

Hmm...maybe this isn't such a great idea.

everybody... DONT get upset about the weather and such...

first off NO Umbrellas popping out and stuff, the castmembers (or the DI's) check the weather days ahead to know if it will be alright to have  & (and Luckey the Dino, for that matter too) to rom the park.

second about there clothes might looking like after a few months. these guys have 100's (lf not a little less) the same clothes made when need be. You really think the Statler & Waldof bots at MV3D have the same
clothes on for the past 16 years!? no, lol, they look alike they also have the same clothes in the 100's too! just think of all the movin and stuff they do with there hands, arms, neck after a few years (or moths) it tends to put "were n tar" on the clothes so they just replease them with one of the 100 look-a-likes that they have.

and these guys are NOT puppeteered by anyone, they think on there own with a little computer chip. these guys can sing, talk and walk (but B & B cant as there in a rocket) , all this but go to the potty and take a bath and eat. the average person's vocabulary is around 26, 000 these guys vocabulary is about the same... if not a little more!

You guys are analyzing too much and finding every possible way for this not to work. If it's raining then they just won't have them out. Just like any other walk around character.

I'm sorry. I'm just getting so sick and tired of all the pessimism on this forum.

There will have to be someone controlling Bunsen and Beaker from nearby to hear what conversation is taking place and then to press a button to get the right interactive vocabulary as they wont be pre set.

Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be similar to those talking trashcans on wheels that go around Tomorrowland.

And I'm sick of the people that are sick the pessimism when that's not really what it is. This are concerns that I have no idea about. I'm wondering how they handle that stuff. I'm not saying "OMG! NO!!!!!!!!" I'm wondering how they handle that stuff and if it can be handled. These are not some costume you can wash or a plastic head you can hose down. I was just wondeirng how the wear and tear issue is handled. We all know that puppets can wear down during the process of a movie, let alone an interactive theme park character. Also if these ever make it to Florida, I wonder how they will handle the rain storms that just spring up from time to time. If you have a problem with that put me on ignore, or simply don't read a thread.

Geeze.

Now, does anyone know if things like the heads and hands are easily replaceable?

Theme Parks always have a maintainance workshop.I would say the heads and hands would be replaceable like the actual Muppets.I used to work at Warner Bros Movie World and the Gremlins were always there, either getting repaired or new ones being made. They were made with axcess for repairs in mind.
