Muppet College Dorms: The Next Semester

Me: *feeling peaceful with Spike's arm around my shoulders. After hearing what he says, smiling nerveously* Well, that's one way to get a free meal... Spike, it's alright, really! I appreciate the offer, but, I usually just use vertual money. Vertual meaning it doesn't actually exist, and so it never runs out.

Kelly (laughs): Good point!

Spike (rolls eyes): C'mon, Kate ... a good beatin' makes a good meal dat much bettah.

Cotterpin (leans back): Whoa ... I'm STUFFED.

Kelly (to Spike): Don't forget -- don't exercise 30 minutes after a meal.

Spike (glances at Kelly, smirking): So ... you want me ta just hang here for half an hour?

Kelly (shakes head): No, silly ... that's not what I meant.

Spike (nods): I know, I know ... no eatin' nobody ... no beatin' nobody ... *whispers* killjoy.

Me: Awww, be honest. You wouldn't really harm any members of the dorm..well..most of them anyway, and as for the other town residents..well..we do live here after all, and we'd like to keep living here.

Spike (glances at Kate, smirking, not willing to admit she's right): I gotta keep my rep' somehow, Kate.

Kelly (yawns)

Cotterpin (shakes head): You know what, Kelly? I don't ever think you actually stay awake. I mean, if Kate and Gobo and Wembley can stay up ... and heck, even Spike, why can't you?

Kelly: Sorry. *to Cotterpin* Because Fraggles take naps, which is something I can't do, I have trouble going to sleep ... I lie in bed just thinking for hours, and Spike's cold-blooded and can afford long naps, that's why.

Spike (glances at Kate): What Kel's tryin' ta say is dat dis is gonna be da end for her soon, or I'll have to carry her back to da room.

Yeah, I understand. We should be heading back anyway. It's still kind of early for me, but I'm usually not actually out this late.
Wembly: *trying to stay awake*
Gobo: Yeah, I think we'd better go. Uh..Wembley? *shaking Wembly a bit*
Wembley: Hmmm?
Gobo: We're gonna go back to the dorms now. Can you walk on your own?
Wembley: *now somewhat more awake* Sure, *yawns* No problem.

Kelly (yawns again): Sorry, guys. Hate to end it here, but I gotta hit the sack. *yawn*

Spike (rolls eyes): Jus' when we was havin' fun, too.

Cotterpin (giggles, hugging Gobo and Wembley): Well, I guess that means I have to go too. Come to think of it, Mom and Dad'll want me to clean my room. It was good seein' you both again. Have a good night!

Spike (stands and hands Kate a wad of virtual cash): Here ya go.

Kelly: Where did you get THAT?

Spike (shrugs): You like ta watch videos on your laptop all day. *points to self* I like makin' money. 'Sides, I ate more dan anyone here put together. I don't like to impose. *smirks at Kate* T'anks for invitin' us. *nods at the Fraggles* Good havin' a chance ta talk to you lil' mites too. *to Kelly* C'mon, toots. Let's get home so you can get your beauty sleep.

Kelly (waves): Bye guys! Thanks for the good time!

(Cotterpin climbs back up onto Spike and Kelly and them leave the restaurant and head back into room 2.)

 

[The Count]

*Outside the dorms... *Stops Kelly and others. Uh, it might be better if we go... Um... Have you seen the movie Carrie, especially the ending?
*Makes mental note to call cleaning company tomorrow after the rampage's over.

Spike (yawns): I'm hungry.

Kelly: O_O How can you POSSIBLY be hungry after all that?

Spike (rolls eyes): Dat's da first big meal I've had in awhile! I gotta go to dat place more often, now dat I know dey got good food. Wanna go?

Kelly (shakes head): Sorry. I've put off studying long enough. *looks up* I wonder what happened last night. There's water damage all over the ceiling.... I had to throw a piece of plastic over my laptop. *grabs crystal ball* I wish whatever damage from water happened last night was gone. *all the dripping and stains and such are gone and the second floor is completely dry* There, that's better.

Spike: You're a real piece o' work, Kel.

Kelly (throws a magazine at him): GO GET ME SOME CHIPS! I NEED SALT!

Me: *getting ready to make a quick trip home for the day* Well, I had fun last night. What about you two?
Gobo: Boy, I sure did alright!
Wembley: Yeah, it was great! We should do it again sometime!
Me: Absolutely! When we got home though... That was interesting.
Wembley: Yeah, I wonder what it was about?
Me: I think it had something to do with Zoot. I think I heard him crying or something.
Gobo: *sympathetically* Poor Zoot.
Me: Yeah. It was nice to hang out with Ed though.
Wembley: It sure was. That raddish ribbon icecream was delicious!
Me: Yeah. Well, I've gotta go.
Gobo: Alright, have fun, Kate!
Wembley: Yeah, we'll see you when ya get back!

Kelly: I wonder what Digit's up to.

Spike (rolls eyes): Prob'ly workin' on dat sob-story o' his.

Kelly: SPIKE! *grabs a card*

Spike: Who's dat for?

Kelly: Lou Fraggle. *goes to room 4 to post the card* Happy Birthday! *returns to room 2*

Spike: An' at what point today do ya plan on studyin'?

Kelly: After supper? I looked up the assignments ... they shouldn't take too long. I gotta remind myself Digit's birthday is the 14th. *sighs* I still wished I knew Chamberlain's.

Spike (angrily): Aftah what he did ta you?

Kelly (sighs): I think I freaked him out.

Spike: Nevah t'ought I'd see ya makin' excuses for a jerk.

Kelly: I'm NOT making excuses. It's not like I couldn't handle him, you know. He doesn't weigh a couple of tons like YOU.
