Grover: This is one wonderful day! *clasp hands together and puts near his face*

What?

Grover: Today is my best bud in the world.

Herry: Awwwww thanks Grover. Your so kind.

Grover: It is not you Herry. It is Kermie baby!

Oh yea. Today is Kermit's birthday. We need to get him something. Does anyone have any idea what to give a frog?

Herry: Not me.

Burce: We could get him a new T-shirt but he would proubley get it mixed up with all those guys names that rhyme with his.

Yea. We wouldn't want that.

We all look at the camrea and smile

We might just have to make it to the store sometime tonight. I'll go get ready. *leaves, comes out with my own rubber duckie, a towel and soap*

 

[The Count]

*Leaves a parcel for Kermit at Room #20's door. The larger box contains a shoofly-based gooey butter cake, with green mint icing forming little Kermit faces on the sides with classic arches of marble ribbets, and the leapfrog maypole candles tucked inside for Ru to handle with care. The smaller box holds a cool lime green polo, leaflike collar and cuffs, and of course, a bottle of vintage green tea.
Happy or hoppy birthday Kermit. Thanks for putting that smile on all our faces.

*Besides the presents for the friendly frog, a bouquet of Southern carnations laced with green shamrock ribbons is left for Catherine, in token of our appreciation for her on Mother's Day.

*Bats spread smaller single carnations with little minted coins for everyone here, either to share with their mothers or as token to those who are mothers—or meowthers in some cases.


*Skulks away.

Bryan: (waves to the gang as they drive away on a bus) Bye, guys! Have fun!
Well, happy Mother's Day, everybody. That's why Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie are going away on that bus. They're off to spend the weekend with their mothers. What about me, you ask? Well, unfortunately I have to do 2 shows today and my mother is out of town. Well, I guess I better get ready. Have a nice day everyone and I'll see ya later!

Bye Bryan. You be careful on your 2 shows. *heads back into the room, sits alone in the living room, talking to the carmea* I sure do hope Kermit likes his gift. This is not going to be a fun day. All the monsters have gone home to their mommy's for Mother's day. *lets out a sigh*

Beige: So, everyone have a good Mother's day?
Storyteller: I did; spent some time with the family in Firefly Caverns.
Scooter: I gave Mom a bio of Katherine Graham, and then we all goofed off around town.
Erin: I spent the better part of mine on a rather nutty stretch of highway, since we're bringing my gran in for commencement, but it was good.
Nora: (sigh) I spent some time at Rainbow Memories.
Beige: Rainbow Memories? That's the cemetery, what are you...
Scooter: Uh, Beige...Nora's mom is...
Beige: Oh, right. Sorry.
Erin: It's okay, Nora. (trying to change subject) So what'd you guys think of the latest interview with Jane Hunt?
Storyteller: Oh, so enlightening...and that phone message from Sara...
Scooter: I had no idea Richard was a Boy Scout as a kid.
Beige: Who woulda thunk it...King Richard the Perfectly Terrible was a good little boy once upon a time.
Nora: (smiling) But there's no way he'd admit it in public. (pause) I like what Jane said about those women trying to catch a cab, and that girl who was crying by the duck pond...how Richard helped them out.

*gets off the couch and heads into the hallway* I wonder if anyone wants to play any borad games? Oh well. I'll just be lonely.

(some music starts)

Yep. I just didn't have anyone to talk to. Glad ya'll are back. Did ya'll have a good time with your mothers?

Herry: I know i did. Flossie made my mom a neckless out of beads and shiney rocks. I bought her a new sun hat. She loves to work in the garden.

Grover: I gave my mommy a card i made and some flowers.

I she proubley loved that.

Grover: She sure did.

Murray: My dad helped me get mom a new dress. She really loved it.

What about you Bruce?

Bruce: Well if you want to know. I got her a bracelet.

That is so nice.

Herry: What did you get your mom?

Me and my sister put our money together and got her a digital picture frame. My sister put all the pics in there before giving it to her. So now she can have all of our family pics.

Murray: I hope to see it sometime soon. That sounds really neat.

It is. Let's head out to the park. Sound good?
