Muppet College Dorms: The Next Semester

Renee: *Is just lying on her bed now, tired and worried.*

Scooter: It'll be okay...it's....it's not that bad, Renee.

Renee: Yeah...yeah...you go and tell that to Richard...oh wait...*turns over and glares at him.* YOU CAN'T!!

Jim: *Picks up his banjo, and the rest of the trio starts to play something, to break the tension in the room, make it a bit lighter.*

Scooter: Come on, why don't we sing something?

Renee: I'd rather..sleep, Scooter...*sighs softly, feeling quite retched now.*

Scooter: It's not that bad...*Sits beside Renee, and smiles back at them, as he starts to sing.*

Scooter: "Somewhere over the rainbow, Way up high, There's a land that I heard of, Once in a lullaby..."


Jim: "Somewhehe over the rainbow, Skies are blue, And the dreams that you dare to dream, Really do come true..."

Scooter: "Some day I'll wish upon a star, And wake up where the clouds are far behind me, Where troubles melt like lemondrops, Away above the chimney tops, That's where you'll find me...."

Renee: *reluctanly she starts singing, softly.* "Somewhere over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly, Birds fly over the rainbow, Why then, oh why can't I?"


Jim & Jerry: "Some day I'll wish upon a star, And wake up where the clouds are far behind me, Where troubles melt like lemondrops, Away above the chimney tops, That's where you'll find me..."

Renee: *Sits up, feeling a bit better, smiling softly. * "Somewhere over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly, Birds fly over the rainbow, Why then, oh why can't I?"

Everyone: "If happy little bluebirds fly, Beyond the rainbow, Why, oh why can't I?"

Renee: *Smiles softly, and sighs.* ...Thank you. I..I needed that. I guess songs will always make me feel better...

Scooter: Well, music soothes the savage beast!

Renee: I'm...savage!? What are you talking about? I'm not savage..

Scooter: No, but you were starting to get angry with me for no good reason, and I figured it would calm you down.

Jim: That was quite a beautiful song, guys.

Jerry: Very sweet. Maybe we should go and play that for everyone. Renee, would you sing solo?

Renee: Sure. I think everyone would love to hear that song.

*They get their instruments, and they go down to the main room, and they play "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" out there, with Renee singing alto-soprano solo.*

Gillis: Obviously a little better, if she can go out and sing.

Gillis: Excellent!

Grover: I found these outside in the hallway, Kyle. Can we keep them?

Herry: There really friendly. *picks one up and rubs it's belly*

Cookie M: And they look delicious too. *picks one up about to eat it*

Grover: Cookie?

Cookie M:*looks at Grover* Oops. Sorry. *puts it down*

Well....*scratches head*....I don't...*bitting nails*.....know.

Herry: What do you know?

Well I do know a song about these little creatures.

Me: Ok. *the rumblebugs start to hum*

Renee: *Is asleep on the main room's couch now, snoring softly.*

Jim: *Is leaning against the couch, strumming his banjo softly, just watching the going ons in the dorm.*

Jerry: *Asleep against the couch, his hat on his face.*

Frank: *Snoring loudly on the floor beside the other two of the trio.*

Scooter: *He's up on the couch beside Renee, one arm around her, almost asleep himself now.*

 

[The Count]

Aw... Come on, let's see if we can't make them a bit more comfortable.
*Brings chairs from the common room area for the Trio, setting Frank in one of them. *Leaves blanket over Sara and Scooter.

Scooter: Thanks Ed. I think I can speak for both of us...that's she worried and really scared.

Jim: She couldn't sleep at all last night, so we ended up camping out here, until she fell asleep finally around 1 am.

Frank: *Still snoring*

Jerry: *Is awake now, sitting in one of the chairs.* We're just hoping she'll do as well as she can. She's gonna be away for awhile though, where did she say she was going to go to, Scooter?

Scooter: She's going to Pennslvania in a month or so, then maybe on to New York. She's going to visit some family up there. *Laughs a little* Her Aunt Janice said she might try to pull some strings and see if she can't get her into Sesame Street.

Jim: She'd love that. *Smirks a little* I'd not let her near Kevin Clash though, or Elmo. She would give them both a piece of her mind.

Scooter: She dosn't hate Elmo, Jim. *outright laughs some now* She thinks he's a little megolomanic sometimes. *looks back at Ed* Thanks again, Ed. Oh, Renee told me, whenever she wakes up, she might go make some lunch for everyone, maybe Goodtime Goomba Soup as well. She told me to ask you if Count could help her cook. She's heard he's quite the chef around here. Or is it you? Neither of us are sure.

Jerry: She'll need some radishes though. I'll go and see if the Fraggles have any they would let her have, I couldn't find any in the fridge at all.

*Jim and Jerry stand up out of the seats, and they both walk down to Beth and Kim's rooms respectively, to see if they have any extra radishes to spare.*

Scooter: What a second guys...why don't you just go to the store? *gives them an odd look, still seated on the couch with his arm around Renee.*

Jim: The Fraggles always know where the best radishes are!

Jerry: They'll probably just point us in the direction of the best store to go too.

Scooter: *smirks a little bit, then he settles back down, keeping an eye on Renee as she sleeps.*

*Gobo and Mokey see Jerry in the hallway*
Gobo: Oh! You want to know where the best radishes are?
Mokey: We always find good radishes at the Corner Grocery Store
Gobo: Or I suppose one of us could go back down to the Rock and out to the Gorg's Garden
Mokey: A trip like that could take all day!
Gobo: You're right, yep, head over to the Corner Grocery Store.
Mokey: Good luck! All right Gobo, on to breakfast. I can't believe everyone else is so busy this morning.
Gobo: Yeah, always something going on around here!

Jerry: *Is back from the store now.* Thank you Gobo, Mokey. She'll be making some Goomba soup soon, once I get these radishes to her.

Thanks Scooter... All we can do is hope she'll do her best. As for lunch, I'll tell the Count... He'll be glad to help. Might get back home to the dorms a bit late near evening time though. Just let her get some rest, she needs it.

And she's in good hands with you as her roommate, and the Trio also. Just LMK if there's anything else I can help with. Now then...
Think I'll just go to the corner grocery store... Something I need to pick up for Friday.
