Prairie:Today's the day your niece & older brother come,right,Kathy?
Yep!Can't wait! My niece is 5 years old & cute as a button.
Prairie:Cool!I can tell how family oriented you are from all these pictures of them around here.
Yeah...they're great. I came so close to losing my dad earlier this year that I don't take my family for granted.
Prairie: I understand.Look Kath..if this is a sore subject,tell me,but your older brother is getting married again ,right?
Right. She's not overly friendly & I think she asked my sister & I to be bridesmaids just because we're related to my brother.
Prairie:You never know.Maybe she really does want you & your younger sis to be bridesmaids.
I guess in a sense I feel guilty being one because I'd feel like I'd be betraying my niece's mom. My former sister in law is a sweetheart! I'm just glad we're still on good terms with her & her family.
Prairie:Well...this is good! Promise me you'll try to give your future sister in law a chance,OK?
Yeah...OK.

Grover: Right Herry. That sounds like a good idea.

Cookie M: Me going to stay here. Me not feeling so well.

Me either Cookie. I've been (you know what in the bathrooms) sorry about that guys. I guess me and Cookie will stay in bed. Don't bring her in here. I don't want her getting sick. Got it?

Grover & Herry: Yes Kyle.

Awww Kyle & Cookie...I'm sorry you 2 are feeling so crummy As for showing my niece around campus Grover & Herry...it's a sweet idea,but she's more into that red Muppet that hangs around SS (you know who I mean) I might show her around here,but my brother told me that once you bring her near the computer she wants to go on but doesn't want to get off when she's told.I'll see what happens.

Red: Hey Beth, Kathy's brother and niece are coming by today
Beth: Oh really? That's cool. Hope we get to bump into them, I hear her niece is really cute
Red: yeah, sounds like Kyle and Cookie Monster aren't feeling too good today
Beth: Oh, that's too bad. Maybe Cookie Monster ate TOO many cookies over the last couple of days. Everyone's been sending him some to make him feel better about his new brother or sister
Red: What could we send instead of food?
Beth: Hmmm I don't know
Red: How about borrowing them some movies to watch until they feel better?
Beth: Good idea!
*Girls run around room collecting movies and putting them in a basket*
Beth: ok, we've got comedies, drama, action and cartoons. That should give them a good variety
Red: I'll go put it by their door
*Red leaves basket of movies by door with a note "To Cookie and Kyle, here's something to do while staying in bed, enjoy some fun movies from Beth and Red." Red smiles at her little rhyme and goes skipping off*

Prairie:Yeah...you look it. Did you have fun seeing your brother & niece?
Yeah...I sure did! My niece is into hide & seek now.Luckily just with people & not with objects.
Prairie:Whew...that's a relief!
So true! My brother was teasing me about some things tonight that had happened the last time he was here but I got him right back when he mentioned them this time!

About that time Grover and Herry come back and almost getting run over by Me and Cookie M.

Grover: Whoa!

Herry: Huh?! Those two must be back to them self.

Red: Morning. I don't want to get up today. How do you do it?
Beth: I force myself to get up and go exercise right away so I get energized for the day. I really don't truly feel awake until lunchtime though
Red: That's a good idea, I'm going to get up and go jogging
Beth: Good for you, but be careful, it snowed again last night and it's the wet, heavy kind that can actually be kind of slippery
Red: Ok, I will! You heading to work?
Beth: yeah, it's going to be really quiet in the office today. Two of my co-workers left for Florida this morning. I swear if I heard them say one more time that they were getting to go on vacation, I was going to scream. I don't get to take any vacation time until this summer. Blah.
Red: I'm sorry. We can do something fun this weekend! And this time we really will too.
Beth: Ok, sounds good. Well, I better go.
Red: Ok. Oh, by the way, I hope the after school program goes well today.
