Bryan: Sure, guys! Here's a menu for ya. You'll have to excuse the mess. Cookie Monster was here this morning for breakfast.
Big Bird: (Comes in) Hi, everybody!
Bryan: Hi, Big Bird! Birdseed milkshake?
Big Bird: Sure! (sits down next to Murray) Hi, Murray. What's the word on the street?

Murray: Hey Big Bird. The word on the street for today is mail.

*looking over the menu* Ooooo that looks good.

Big Bird: Mail? Good word.
Bryan: Speaking of mail, Big Bird, you got a postcard from your cousin Abelardo in Mexico. (hands Bird the postcard)
Big Bird: Oh really? (takes postcard)
Bryan: What's it say?
Big Bird: I don't really know.
Bryan: You don't know?
Big Bird: Well, he writes his postcards in Spanish and I don't really know much Spanish.
Bryan: So how do you know what he says?
Big Bird: Usually I ask Maria or Luis to read it to me, but since they aren't around here, I'll wait to ask Rosita when I go back to the Dorm House.
Bryan: Oh. (To his guests) So have you guys decided?

Claudia:
Bunnie, the frappes are here!
*Throws one at him with a cheesy smile*

Bunsen:
*Catches it, just barely*
Wonderful, thank you Beaker.

Beaker:
*Slurps through his straw*

Dr. Van Neuter:
Oh! Brainfreeze!

Claudia:
My nose is cold, hahaha!

Bunsen:
You know, you could always use the electric nose warmer!

Beaker:
*Whimpers while shaking his head and tugs at Claudia's sleeve*

Claudia:
Nah, I'm fine. Thanks.
*Hugs Beaker*

Beaker:
*Sighs in relief*

[The Count]

*Returning to Room #1... Hey guys, food's here!
Uncle Deadly swoops down from the common room's rafters and the Count approaches from the bat-room just having washed his hands. All of us sit down to enjoy some garlic shrimp, stir-fried vegetables, Chinese rice, and a couple of egg rolls with delicious iced tea for dinner. Maybe there'll be a break in the lull and we'll get updates to the stories we delight in reading.

*Lying on her bed with a flower in her hand*

Bunsen:
What a simplistic flower.
Very pretty.

Claudia:
Yah, I found it not too long ago as I was strolling!
I'm hungry, I realized I did not eat anything when I just came in like
another Mary Poppins! I was so happy that I wasn't aware at my stomach.

Bunsen:
I was just about to ask you about that.
I am no cook but--paperclip?

Claudia:
Makes Beaker's nose fall off--I wouldn't want to know its effect on me.
No offense, maybe some clam chowder will do.
*Gets off the bed to make some chowder*

Bunsen:
None taken,
I love clam chowder except the talking ones...

Claudia:
*Reddens*
Bunnie, remember those cookies I baked?

Bunsen:
Yes?

Claudia:
*Rubs her arm and shows a guilty smile*

Bunsen:
You had us devour a talking cookie. It having been baked...
alive? Oh, dear. Oh, no.

*Looks to the floor seriously before looking to her with a smile*

I suppose I can spill the secret and not be sentenced to a series of
torturous glomps...

I-I-I....I ate the talking orange.

Claudia:
*Blushes*
We gotta keep this a secret, k?

Bunsen:
--and suffer the consequences for demonstrating barbaric behavior?
I'd be killed on the spot!

*They laugh wildly*

Erin: (going into kitchen) I actually needed a jacket on my way home tonight - fall must be here.
Scooter: I know - it's not hot and humid here anymore.
Erin: (spotting Nora on sofa) Everything okay, Nora?
Nora: I'm fine...just tired.
Storyteller: Well, it is rather late - has everyone had anything to eat?
Beige: I had some Doozer sticks and a glass of blueberry juice a little while ago.
Scooter: I stopped and got a milkshake on the way back from school.
Nora: Erin and I met for sandwiches some time ago.
Storyteller: Ah...so everyone's eaten something...but does anyone feel like having a meal, or a snack?
Erin: Hmm...well, how about some crepes?
(general murmur of assent)
Storyteller: Good idea. Erin, start measuring the dry ingredients...Beige, start heating the crepe maker...Scooter, if you would cut up some fruit, and Nora, if you could beat some ricotta cheese with some sugar, and I'll get the milk and oil...

(all start moving around kitchen)

Nora: Is it true that Bryan's taken over at Hooper's Store?
Storyteller: It is...there's a "New Management" sign up, and I think half the residents have been in there already.
Erin: Yeah - I'll have to stop in when I've got an idle moment. (starts mixing crepe batter) I heard a funny story today, about Dave and Steve on the set of Fraggle Rock...
Scooter: Oh, yeah, Richard told me that one a while back - how the two of them were always scaring Jocelyn, and they got a bucket of confetti showered on them.
Beige: Was that Richard's doing? Was he still trying to get revenge for the sugar incident?
Scooter: No, someone from the special effects crew did it.

(up in heaven)

Richard: Well, if it had been up to me, it would have been a bucket full of ping-pong balls or something.
Jim: What, no water balloons?
Richard: No way - not with all those electronics in the room. (snickers) But the looks on Dave and Steve's faces were priceless.
Jim: (chuckles) And you wouldn't let them hear the end of it, would you?
Richard: Neither would Jocelyn - she wrote that entire episode with them in mind, remember?
