Janice: Like, here we go! One and two and.

Maddie: If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
With just my friends and my life,
I'd thank my lucky stars
To be livin' here today.
Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away.

Janice: And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

Dr. Teeth: From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to LA
Well there's pride in every American heart
And its time we stand and say

Zoot: That I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

Lips: And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

Oh man... Am I stuffed, good food though. Hi Cookie Monster, was hoping you and your roomies would show up.
There are some cookie cakes cut up into small squares if you want some. They're made using a Tollhouse recipe, after I sampled the cookie they're made from myself last week, oatmeal with crushed nuts and butterscotch pieces.

Hey Ry, better tell Gonzo we're almost ready for the fireworks display.

Ryan: *salutes* Yessir, Ed, sir! Gonzo! Fireworks!
Gonzo: *on the roof of the Dorms* Finally! Ready, Rizzo?
Rizzo: *eats a popsicle* Yeah, yeah.
Gonzo: Fire one! *lights off first rocket* Whoo! Fire TWO! *fires second rocket*
Rizzo: *gets caught by second rocket's rope* AHHHH! I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR D'IS!
Ryan: Ooh! Look! I'm seeing stars!
Clifford: Nah, that's just Rizzo.

Me: *hearing Rizo screaming, and standing nearby laughing* Boy, I'm glad I didn't miss this. Nice way to kick back after the kaos at my aunt's house, what with four of the most ill-mannered children you could ever want to see running around. Oh well, I wonder where the fraggles are?
*goes to get a plate of food and bumps into someone* Oops, sorry... Oh, high Lou! I was wondering where you guys were.
Lou: Oh, hey! I was helping Wembly decide which foods to take, and I think Gobo's..um..somewhere.
Okay then, I'm going to get myself a plate.
Lou: Alright, we'll come join you whin a few minutes.
Alright, see ya! *goes down the table, filling plate with ribs, a sampling of each type of salad, a blondie, and a couple of scottie cookies*

(Kermit and Piggy are sitting on a bench near the pool watching the fireworks display with their arms companionably around each other. Piggy leans her head over on Kermit's shoulder.)
Piggy: Happy, Mon Capitan?
Kermit: Yeah. Nice Independence Day.
Piggy: (dryly) Independence is highly over-rated.
(In the darkness, Kermit gulps.)
Kermit: I was, um, thinking that myself.
Piggy: (uncertain) Kermie?
Kermit: I, um, especially liked the fireworks.
Piggy: The sparkly kind or the loud kind?
Kermit: (turning to look at Piggy. His bulbous froggy eyes are all dreamy) Neither.
THere is a long silence, then Piggy snuggles a little closer and sighs.
Piggy: Good answer.
Kermit: Yeah--I thought so, too.

That's weird... Then again, anything involving Gonzo is weird. But I thought we remembered to light the rocket, not the rat... Light the rocket not the rat. Oh well.

Ladies and gentle-Muppets, I give you the 2007 Fourth of July MC Dorms fireworks display!
*Flails arms about in the air... Yaeey!

The rockets burst into colorful outlines of all the Muppets currently living at the dorms, along with a few additional notable names from all sections of the Muppet Universe.
Count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... 23, 24, 25 Muppet friends in firevork form!

The voices of the dorms' raise high to the heavens.
Count: O say, can you see?
Red: By the dawn's early light.
Clifford: What so proudly we hail.
Big Bird: At the twilight's last gleaming.

Prairie: The broad stripes and bright stars.
Beth: Through the perilous fight.
Uncle D: O'er the ramparts we watched.
Ryan: Was so gallantly streaming.

Erin and Nora: The red rockets bright glare...
Bert and Ernie: The bombs bursting in air.
Kathy: Gave proof through the night...
Fozzie: That our flag was still there.

Catherine: O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave.
Miss Piggy: For the land of the freeeeeee.
Bryan: And the home...
Ed: Of the...
Kermit, taking the lead, though everyone else harmonizes at the same time carrying the last few words: Braaaaaaaaaaaave!

Bry: hey who's up for some of my delicious frozen pina colada drink with festive red cherries and blueberry garnish on top? Non alcoholic of course.

*Rats and bats show up singing... If you like piña coladas... And walks in the rain...
Sure Bry, I'll take one. Haven't had a taste of the homeland's delicacies in a long while.

Sure, why not? Thanks Bry. *takes sip* Mmm, very good! You wouldn't happen to have some dixie cups for the fraggles, would you?
