Kermit: (balancing a huge steamer trunk on his back) Um, Piggy? Piggy, um, sweetheart? Can I put this down now? The dorms aren't even open.
Piggy: (sounding hurt and firm) But, but--Kermie! I have to get unpacked as soon as possible! You cannot imagine how many clothes I crammed into my trunk--
Kermit: (muttering) Try me.
Piggy: --and I need to get them all into my room and aired out before classes start.
Kermit: Yeah, but, but Piggy--I'm not sure how much longer my arms can hold out. The trunk is starting to slip, and---WHAH!
(Frog and trunk crash to the ground. After a moment, frog crawls out from under the trunk and staggers over to sit on it. Pig is not pleased, but years of long association have made the frog tactful. He reaches out and snags Piggy's satin-gloved hand.)
Piggy: Kermit!
Kermit: Here--Piggy, c'mere, here. Sit down next to me for a second.
(Piggy casts one more uncertain look at the door, but the entreaty is hard to resist. She flouces over and sits down next to her frog and furniture mover.)
Kermit: Now--isn't this better? We can sit right here and wait, okay? And when the dorms open up, we'll be ready, okay?
Piggy: (doubtfully) Um, okay, Kermie. If you say so.
(Kermit stretches a tired arm, which coincidentally happens to settle around Piggy's waist. Piggy gives it a look--have warning and half very pleased with herself.)
Kermit: There now--this is good. What more could we ask for?
Piggy: Starbucks.
Kermit: Huh?
Piggy: A double half-caff mochachino with extra whipped cream and, oh, two of those little biscotti things?
Kermit: Now?
Piggy: Um, yes. Now is good.
(Kermit sighs, stands up and heads for the nearest coffee emporium.)
Kermit: (sighing) I'll be back in a minute.
Piggy: (complacent) Oh, good. Then you'll be ready when the door opens.
Kermit: (muttering) Sheesh....
