It is the first time I have created a forum that has lasted this long. I am so proud of myself.

Actually, his name is Marty, but perhaps we can start a petition to get him to change his name? I love the name Bill!
I have a feeling that this is going to be one of those threads that newcomers will flock to right away, and love to read. When I first found this forum in college, it was my favorite way to procrastinate. I would order a pizza, and curl up with a nice long thread!

Well, I guess I can now say I can officially no longer be a part of this thread. Cuz the guy I have been (almost) obsessed with for the past 5 years has finally asked me out. And the best part? He's a huge Muppet fan.

Get him to join Muppet Central and then you can be a Muppet Central couple! I'm kidding, congrats Beakerfan!

Why is it most Muppet fans on here, historicly through the last few years or so, never have any luck finding anyone accept for a tiny few. Heck, a vast majority of people never even had a first gf/bf or a date. I think, because were unqiue folks in a not very uniquely minded world.

I believe in em, so long as they turn into real life romances:smile:

Well that's the point, ya do eventually meet the person...and hopefully, if ya guys really opened up yourselves on the phone, ya should click in person.
I present myself as the same warm, open minded, zany, soulful, and unique person on the phone as I am in person. Typed words on a forum or chat, its really hard to express one's true self.
I've met a few of my exes online. Thats right, people--exes. Oh, I believe in long distance. I do not deny its existence. I do, however, know that it just doesn't work. I present myself on here as I am in person--say something, then totally disappear out of everyones' sight for 5 months.

So yeah, figured I'd add an interesting little anecdote to this little thread...

Last night I went out with an old friend from high school and one of her friends: the high school friend was, more or less, trying to set me up with her friend. Well, things were okay, we hung out, then came back to my place to watch some Robot Chicken. That's when the girl I was being set up with asked me who Animal was after I did his voice. Good thing I didn't do the Sam impersonation, that would have taken all night to explain...

So yeah, in true Seinfeldian fashion, I don't intend to see this girl again other than on a friend kind of basis because she didn't know who Animal was. That's right, kids.

Aside from the fact shes a partier and, well, who am I kidding here--my idea of a "party" is busting out the regular sodas instead of the diet and then having some multiplayer video game action.

See ya in 5 months
