Speaking as a Christian...

I can tell you right now that most Christians would be offended by the Muppets doing an irreverent take on the Bible. Although I did like the Christmas story at the end of the John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together special. After all, that is the Christmas story. :smile:

I could see the Muppets goofing up Greek myths though. They did do a bit of that as well as fairy tales in the Muppet Classic Theater video. (Which is not as bad as a lot of people think).

an afterthought

I think I could possibly see the Muppets doing a take on Bible stories in the vein of VeggieTales. As long as the truth of the Bible gets across, I guess I'd be okay with it. I just don't want to see the Muppets (or anyone else, for that matter) make a mockery of God's Word.
