Well, my favorite holiday food is not holiday specific. Actually, it's good at any time of the year, it just tends to be (mandatory for and) restricted to any family gathering on my mom's side of the family. You see, my mom makes the absolute best brownies in the world. They are delicious, I tell you, delicious! But, like I said, they tend to only come for major family gatherings, and never for my dad's side of the family- they prefer her jello. But anyway. My favorite holiday specific food would have to be Hannukah gelt. You know, those coins made out of chocolate? They usually come in these little yellow bags that are next to impossible to open, and they're always wrapped in this gold-colored foil that's even harder to open. And you know what? That's what makes it so good. You've gotta work for it!

Again? Oh, Nyssa, didn't I tell you to stop doing that? ...I didn't? ...Never mind, then.

Is it just because I live in Southern California now that it seems early to be talking about holiday food?

72 and sunny here, btw.
No, because I live right near you and I am so excited to be tasting these things. Apple cider actually sounds really good right now. I wonder if we have any in the house. Oh, Egg nog!! That too. We don't have egg nog in our stores yet though and probably won't til atleat October is over.

I just learned how to make pumpkin pie a couple weeks ago. It was fun. I am really into this whole baking and cooking thing now, especially since it is the holidays. It is fun making things for other people.

I'm not a big fan of egg nog...or coffee(I'm one of the few teenagers who don't live off the stuff).

I love the Autum and Winter, because of the things I reserve to eat and drink at that time...

Hot Coco and Hot Cider are fantastic! I also fell in love with Bailey's this year, I got to try it for the first time and it tastes wonderful.

I love Pumpkin Bread at this time of year, as well as Apple and Blueberry Pie.

For Christmas dinner, we either have Lamb and Orzo (yummmy) or Cornish game hens (also yummy). And for the last few years, we've had mini breakfast pizza's for breakfast on Christmas morning.

New Year's Eve we usually have Sparkling Cider (it's non-alcoholic and very good).
