Okidoki.

I'm against LOTR, but I'd be happy to read just about anything else from Grisham, to Tomas the Tank Engine.

What about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Is everyone familiar with that?

I'm up for anything other than LOTR. If we hash this out long enough we'll be like The National Procrastinators' Club . . . they've never had a meeting because they keep putting it off lol.

Don't worry--they'll get around to that meeting sometime...

Hitchhiker's Guide and Agatha Christie sounds good... maybe we can get Phil to put up a poll so we can vote on it.

I like the idea of The Wizard of Oz. It's a classic, so it should be at everyone's library, or easy to get through inter-library loan and someone mentioned it's on the internet.

Maybe we could go through the Muppet-related books? Treasure Island and A Christmas Carol for starters? Then move on to more of the "popular" type books. Or we could mix them all together--switch off between the classics and bestsellers.

oooo! I really like that idea! Muppet related books would be a really fun thing to do, it would be not only a book discussion but also a discussion about differences between the book and the movie. Plus- wizard of oz and treasure island are super short, so that would be great for those of us who are busy. And classics are really easy to find at the library
