IMO, this Sarah Silverman person is really just a stupid twit. She kinda ruined what was shaping up to be a totally awesome show. I mean give me a freakin' break, Kermit grabbing her *ss. Of all the nerve! And the whole thing with Bert and Ernie...jeeze, where does this chick get off? (Eck, nevermind, she's the type to asnwer that question..) Anyway, I have like 7 pages of notes (Inner nerd took over), but I just wanted to touch on these points:
1) KERMIT IS BACK!!!! WOOOO!! I can only hope to the stars that the new Muppet Show is as funny and adultly witty as this interview was.
2) The Muppet Show is not in its 25th year. It is celebrating its 25th anniversery, but those are two very different things. If this were so, Fraggle Rock would be in its what, 15th year?
3) It saddened me that not a soul in the audience was singing "Rainbow Connection" with Kermit. Sign of the times I guess.
4) If you listen closely to the Clint Eastwood impression, Steve made a semi-lapse back into his Wembley voice. Listen close now!
5) In agreement with Captain Byron, I do believe Steve has mastered Kermit. Judging by this interview and the small clip from the Christmas movie (in which David Arquette doesn't look half bad, which is frightening in itself..), Steve has really got him down. Now if he could just fix up his Ernie...well, there's always dreamin'..
...there are lots others, but those are what I remember off the top of my head. Feel free to add.
