Happy Friday! Here is the final chapter of this story! It's sad to be finished with it BUT there will be at least one more, probably the fifth and final story. This chapter is a little long, but the best way to tie up the lose ends. Enjoy!
Chapter Twelve:
At the church all of the females were fussing over Wanda, helping her get dressed and get her makeup ready. When they finished they stepped back and all awed at the same time.
“Wanda, vous look amazing,” said Miss Piggy.
“Thanks,” said Wanda.
“Bawk, bawk, bawk?” asked Camilla as she signed to Wanda asking if she had her something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
“Yep, I have my new dress, the necklace from my mother which is old, Janice let me borrow these real pretty earrings and there’s blue ribbon on my garter,” said Wanda starting to blush at the last part of that statement.
“Like, Rowlf will dig that when he gets to take it off,” laughed Janice.
“Um, guys, I think we have to get out there, it’s almost time!” said Yolanda.
“Oh, right, you guys go ahead, I’ll be right out,” said Wanda. She and Rowlf were not seeing each other before the wedding, so all pictures were being taken after the ceremony.
“See you when you’re coming down the aisle! Kissy kissy!” said Piggy hurrying out the door.
Wanda turned back to the mirror and got ready to put one last touch on her makeup.
“You really look lovely dear,” came a voice from behind her.
Wanda turned around in her chair.
“Mama! I didn’t think I’d see you before the ceremony!” exclaimed Wanda.
“Well, I just wanted to come back here and tell you that I’m so happy you let me stay and I’m really quite proud of you. You’ve become a beautiful woman, one that I hope to be more like myself,” said Marie.
“Thanks mom. I look forward to building a relationship with you again,” said Wanda.
“All right, I’ll see you after the ceremony. Good luck,” said Marie and turned to leave.
“Mama?” Wanda called after her.
“Yeah?” asked Marie.
“Um, you know, there are still things to work out between us, but I was thinking, you are my mother and it only seems right that you give me away. I was just going to go down alone, but I’d rather you walked with me,” said Wanda standing up and taking Marie’s paw.
“I’d be truly honored,” said Marie choking back tears. They embraced.
“Come on, let’s go get me married!” exclaimed Wanda after a minute.

The church was full to capacity. Not only were all of the Muppets present but also extended friends and family of theirs.
Fozzie’s mother Emily was in attendance with her new husband Jerome, best known to the Muppets as Doc the guy who first discovered their friends the Fraggles. The Fraggles were also in attendance in the same pew.
Most of the entire gang from Sesame Street had shown up and they took up quite a few pews themselves.
Wanda’s boss from the restaurant in Minnesota was there as well as two of Rowlf’s special friends Beth and her grandmother Margaret whom Rowlf had lived with briefly in his puppy days.
Inhabitants of the town of Hensonville also packed the pews.
Even Statler and Waldorf were sitting in a pew off on the side.
Soon, the music began to play as Father Marty came and stood at the altar. Rowlf came down the aisle with Felicia and seated her in the first pew on the right and then joined Father Marty.
Next down the aisle were Rowlf’s brother Charlie escorting Skeeter who had flown in for the event. They were followed by Rowlf’s brother Rex with Sara. Noticeably absent from the wedding party was Scooter. It had been a tough choice for Rowlf to make, but he really wanted to have his brothers and he’d always been closest to Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo. Scooter however was acting as wedding photographer and sat in a pew very close to the front with his mother Sadie.
Moe escorted Yolanda and she received a whistle from Rizzo as they came down the aisle. This got Rizzo a glare from Yolanda and even Pepe nudged him and said “whoa, cool it man, dis not the time for that, wait for the reception!”
Janice was escorted down the aisle by Fozzie who was very nervous and kept looking over at Floyd as if it was a problem, but Floyd kept looking back and smiling and giving him thumbs up as if to say it was cool.
Next came Gonzo and Piggy. Piggy was not too happy with this arrangement especially because Gonzo used the opportunity to torment her. “Remember when we were little and I had that huge crush on you? What do you say we act on it now?” asked Gonzo before they started walking. He wasn’t serious of course, he was head over heels for Camilla, but he knew it would drive the pig crazy.
“Watch it birdbrain,” came Piggy’s response as she regressed slightly into her childhood.
Finally came Kermit as best man and Camilla as maid of honor.
“Bawk bawk?” said Camilla as they started walking.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you fall,” said Kermit smiling.
Following behind Kermit and Camilla came the proud ring bearer Robin grinning from ear to ear.
“Don’t drop the rings Robin!” burst out an exuberant Elmo gaining laugher from the wedding guests but caused Gordon to turn around and scold him slightly.
Rowlf stood at the front and smiled as each member of the wedding party came down the aisle and joined him. He also noticed all of the people in attendance. But, he didn’t see Marie and frowned.
“I can’t believe her mother chickened out and didn’t come after all,” thought Rowlf to himself.
Then the bridal march began and Wanda appeared at the doorway on her mother’s arm. Rowlf smiled not only at the beauty of his bride, but also to see mother and daughter together the way it should be.
Wanda and Marie made their way down the aisle and then stopped at the end.
Father Marty motioned to everyone to sit down and then said “Who gives this feline to this canine to be wed?”
Marie looked at Wanda unsure of what to say. Wanda squeezed her arm.
“Her mother,” said Marie. With tears in her eyes Wanda gave her mother a kiss on the cheek and then took Rowlf’s arm.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to celebrate a most joyous occasion. Nothing makes God happier than when two beings, any two beings find love and choose to live their lives together in perfect harmony. And so I ask if there is anyone who feels that these two should not be married, please speak now or forever hold your piece,” said Father Marty.
In unison Rowlf and Wanda both turned around and looked at their mothers.
“Oh go on already,” said Felicia.
“Yeah, get married!” said Marie.
Everyone laughed.
“All right then, Rowlf, repeat after me, I Rowlf, take you Wanda to be my wife,” said Father Marty.
Rowlf repeated the vows, promising to love Wanda in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, in good times and bad for as long as they both should live. Then Wanda took the same vows.
“May I have the rings please?” asked Father Marty.
Robin hopped carefully up to Kermit who took the rings and gave them to Rowlf and Wanda.
“Rowlf, place this ring on Wanda’s finger and say ‘with this ring, I thee wed,” said Father Marty.
“With this ring, I thee wed,” said Rowlf.
Wanda repeated the same placing a ring on Rowlf’s finger.
“I now announce that in the presence of God and those gathered in this church you are married! What God has joined together no one must divide,” said Father Marty.
Spontaneous applause broke out throughout the church.
“Hold on now, I haven’t gotten to tell them to kiss each other!” exclaimed Father Marty.
Everyone laughed and quieted down long enough for him to say “You may now kiss the bride.”
Rowlf embraced Wanda and they shared a lovely kiss then started their decent down the aisle as everyone applauded again.
“We did it!” exclaimed Wanda.
“Piece of cake,” said Rowlf.

At the reception they feasted on food brought in all the way from Jazzmine’s as a wedding gift to Wanda from her former boss.
Rowlf and Wanda had their first wedding dance to Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One.” Following that dance the Electric Mayhem took the stage and preceded to rock the night away while the guests danced their hearts out. They even got Rowlf and Wanda up for a few numbers.
Wanda threw her bouquet and it was no surprise that Piggy caught it as she pretty much shoved all of her competition out of the way. Kermit was not amused when she said “Look Kermie, look who’s going to be next to get married!”
Kermit was even less amused when without even trying he caught the garter in the garter toss. He had positioned himself at the back of the group and when Rizzo and Pepe started fighting over it, it snapped into the air and caught him around the neck.
“See, we’re going to be next!” exclaimed Piggy.
“We’ll see,” said Kermit scowling a little but smiling on the inside.
Soon the festivities were winding down and a limo waited to take Rowlf and Wanda to the airport where they would fly to Florida for their honeymoon.
Only their family and closest friends escorted them to the limo.
Rowlf took Kermit aside.
“Why am I not surprised? You said everything would be fine and you were right. You’re always right,” said Rowlf.
“Good wisdom from an old friend. Never stop dreaming,” said Kermit.
“Thanks for everything,” said Rowlf and embraced his friend.
He and Wanda got into the limo and everyone began shouting things at them.
“Don’t forget to write!”
“Have a great time!”
“Like, we want all the details when you get back.”
“Make sure you actually get out and see some sights!”
“Remember you’re only getting a week off from work so you’d better come back!”
“Watch out for purple zombies who try to sell you pickled parrots feet! It’s not worth it, I would know!”
“Hurry back!”
“When are we getting grandkids?”
At the last statement the door to the limo was closed by the chauffeur and Rowlf looked at Wanda in horror.
“Grandkids? Do we want to bring babies into this zoo?” asked Rowlf.
“Oh you never know,” said Wanda with a twinkle in her eye.
The limo pulled away and they started their married life together in perfect harmony.
