I would just like to let all my MC buddies who were on my friends list at MySpace know that I chose to cancel my MySpace account because I was growing un-comfortable with the immorality of some of the people not from MC who were trying to join my friends list. Also when I browsed some of their chat forums I was unhappy with the way they blatantly cussed in their posts apparently without any restraint at all by the mods.

I did enjoy having my own profile at first but I have come to feel for myself as a Christian, I am much better off away from there. And I do feel like a great burden is now lifted from my spirit.

But let me assure you I have nothing at all against any of you personally and I trust we can all continue to be happy good friends here on our boards.:big_grin:

Someone shoulda warned ya: myspace is the height of hedonism and all out stupidity on the internets^__^;;

I mostly just have one as most my non local friends prefer to stay in touch that way...but yeah, I dare not venture out to the chats/forums/people I dont know's pages(that and it crashes my computer)

You know what the problem is Marty? These days, most people actually consider SOME cuss words acceptable for public use now like the use of the word for the place opposite of Heaven, or the dirty word for someone's butt, and even the word that was originally used as the term for a female dog. Most people say these days words like that are only unacceptable up until you're out of kindergarten. I was taught, and still am that ALL those words are unacceptable at all times and believe me I know because at one point in my life I accidentally dropped the F-bomb and my mom blew her cork! It was then and there when I made my promise to God to never say words like that ever again.

Marty, I also get friend requests from girls I don't know who have links to dirty internet sites. It's spam is what it is. I don't accept those requests. I don't accept request from people I am not familiar with. Especially those with really cheap looking glamour photos barely covering their fake nude bodies. It's sick.

I agree BEAR it is sick. If you're happy keeping your account and just denying those requests that's up to you.
For myself I'm glad to be away from it completely.
And Snowthy, you're right. It is becoming more and more accepted in society to use words considered obscene sadly. Good on you for promising to God never to use those f-words again. I am greatly improved with my language now but I'm still far from perfect. Like none of us will ever be perfect, but praise God I seldom swear at all nowadays.

My wholehearted agreement and sympathies are with you Lana. :frown:

Life would be so much more cheerful if everybody was sensibly thoughtful of others.:cry: :sympathy:

I am never going to get a MySpace account simply because that place is just so downright sick. To me, it's a great thing you left that dump Martin, I even encourage my local friends who want to but aren't sure about getting an account not to because that place is, like you said, so immoral. Good job bud. :big_grin:

Hmmm... I love myspace ((sighs)) sorry ya'll. But it is rediculous how people treat others, and they add random strangers, but the thing is, they put it on themselves, they added the person to begin with. The other thing is with the sick people out there wanting to meet younger people, they have a privacy option, but they add strangers anyway, its rediculous. The girls who do that to themselves are rediculous, they put themselves out there just being disgusting. But, my thing is to be caucious, watch who you add, if you dont know them, dont add them. It's simple, but many people only care how many friends they have in there friend list. Which I think is very stupid. But I am still keeping my account, because, the fact is that many of my friends who have moved, i get to re-connect with etc. So its also a way to meet with old friends too. I have my pros and cons about Myspace.com. But the fact of the matter is to be smart, and just add people you know. Also, the language has been part of our culture, I cuss, i admit, it's wrong, but its hard to stop, but some people on there Myspace pages have cuss words as every other word in the sentence, which i think is rediculous, I hardly have too much cussing on my page alone. But anyways, you made a smart decision Marty.

You made the right choice Marty. That was very smart of you. Myspace can be very dangerous most of the time.
