Over the years, there have been many muppets who have come and gone. Are there any characters who you think would have worked well together if they were both regularly used at the same time?

heres who I think could have been used together:

*Dr. Nobel Price and Sam The Robot (oddly enough, in one of the On My Way To Sesame Street books, there is a drawing of dr. nobel price holding a minature Sam The Robot).

*Rosevelt Franklin and Kingston Livingston III.

*Forgetful Jones and Benny Rabbit (Benny would obviously get annoyed at Forgetful Jones).

*Proffessor Hastings and Benny (ditto).

*Guy Smiley and the monsters from Monster Clubhouse.

*Farley and Roxy Marie.

*Harvey Kneeslapper and Telly Monster.

Who's Dr. Nobel Price?

Oh, and I think it'd be great if Kermit was used with Rosita, Baby Bear, Zoey, Telly and Elmo on a regular basis!

Lefty the Salesman and Elmo would be interesting, wouldn't it?

So would Sherlock Hemlock and Telly. I know they were there at the same time, but I don't think they interacted much.

He was a Muppet inventor/scientist who'd:

A) Invent/discover things already made/found

or

B) Invent completely useless inventions (or finds a complicated way of doing things).

Okay, I know who Dr. Nobel Price is now. He's the guy who created "The Six Dollar Man", right? And Kermit came to interview him during a "Sesame Street Newsflash" segment. And when the whole thing fell apart, the inventor remarked, "Well, what do you expect for a lousy six bucks?"
That was a good one.
I'm thinking Kermit interviewed him quite a few times.

Actually, it'd be kinda funny to see Dr. Nobel Price and Sully together. I guess he already has Biff to play off of, but it'd be funny seeing Dr. Price "inventing" something and building it wrong and Sully would get it right every time and not even know exactly what it is!

No; that's Professor Nuclear von Fission. But Kermit did have a few News Flash segments with Dr. Price.

As far as Benny Rabbit and Forgetful Jones. They were on the show together at the same time but not for long, and they never interacted. Benny was first seen on the show in 1990 (This was before the furry arms, so he was seen without the bellhop uniform) Forgetful Jones left the show a year or two later.

I always thought Elmo and Herbert Birdsfoot would have worked really well together. For some reason I always pictured the 2 of them as making a really great team. Elmo could call him Mr. Birdsfoot and annoy him during his lectures, better than Grover ever could have.

Sully and Dr. Nobel Price were both on the show at the same time, so they could have "interracted" together. I don't know what season Dr. Nobel Price first appeared in, but I do know that Sully first appeared in the fourth season, and the last time Sully made a new appearance was in the thirtieth season.

Did Telly and Kermit ever interact at all? I mean, I am sure they have I just can't think of any examples specifically. That would have been great!

Yes, years ago in the early 80's when Telly was a brand new characther and had his original voice. Telly showed up at Kermit's apartment to sell him a headwarmer. Kermit bought one for a dollar. After Telly put it on him, his whole head was covered and he couldn't see. When Telly left Kermit walked into the kitchen and you could hear the sounds of pots and pans falling and things breaking.
