Didn't we suffer through all these types of conversations right after the Twin Towers were put down by terrorism?

Sometimes, every once in a while, not always, I get bored with some of these posts. It's like someone posting a whole thread for the millionth time to Palisades asking the same question: "My Muppets Figure has a paint smear on the bottom of the foot, what do I do?" Take it back and swap it out.

But, was this really part of something to make an "announcement" about, or a thread started to gain attention or--what?

Besides, you can't call Bush an idiot. He's President of the most powerful country in the world (my opinion, btw), while you're making an announcement on a forum about Muppets that you've changed political views and avatars. It would be correct then to say, "It is my opinion that Bush is an idiot," but nothing you know for sure because then it has to be determined on which level, and whose, your basing being an idiot on.

I have an idea on whose level we could start, though. *points a finger to first post.*

Oh, Bravo, Fozzie Bear.

My God, were we supposed to just lie down and swallow 9/11??? And I'm ****** if some religious zealot whose mind is in the Year 12 is going to have American women going around in burquas and training their toddlers to be terrorists. And that's what they want to do, make no mistake about it. I'll shoot them dead at my door and I am not kidding.

Here's a quote people should be mindful of:
(Americans) have better things to do than commit public suicide at the behest of bitter old men pretending to be prophets. Think about it.

Whom do people think keeps them safe? Who protects their very easy lives here? People DIE for this. Would you have had us lie down and take it after Pearl Harbor? Think of the wonderful world it would be now if we had.

Bravo to Fozzie the Brave.

And how about moving on in this thread, since I'm sure all these conversations were had after September 11. Or just closing it down, better yet.

Ooh. I'm far from brave. I'll definitely run the other way FAST! However, I fully and thoroughly support the Service Men and Women who keep me safe, and always ALWAYS treat them with utmost respect and dignity, which they deserve--and, if they feel they're doing the right thing, then I will support them in their work.

Besides that, right after those posts were made initially, I'm not sure WHO it was that was sending me and several others 'hate mail' via email, but I'm American, and I stand behind that symbolic name (unless bullets start flying; I am a sissy about that much), and alongside any of our allies without whom the work going on now would not be successful, so KUDOS! to our allies.

And amen.

Wow.

That's making me wonder a little bit. A lot, actually, a number of things come to mind. That's not good.

I was shaking after I wrote that last post; I was so angry I was seeing scarlet.

I WOULD take up personal arms if it ever came to that, it came to that all over Europe in WWII. And I'm a fine shot. I would not hesitate. And believe me, every person I know feels the same way. I'd fight to the death.

Fozzie Bear, by the way, in my earlier post the "you" was the general "you" out there, not you you. I hope you knew that. You said things I've been wanting to say for some time and that needed to be said.

I think alot of people have a more idealistic an understanding of the world than others. I can say that, because when I was a younger person, my thoughts and ideas were "more idealistic" than they are now. I see some of the things on this forum (and elsewhere) and remember I was there once.

We are losing our American heritage, set forth by our founding fathers, because of idealogues that wish to tell everyone else how to live their lives. I am RESPONSIBLE for me, that is what freedom is about. But we are losing our freedom because someone is always being offended, but I digress (and I don't really want to get started because we've lost our way and it angers me.).

Anyway, whoever wishes to have a dissenting opinion of the President or anyone else, should thank the founding fathers, the military and, yes, the President (since his primary duty is to uphold the constitution) for defending your right to have negative opinions or opposite views.
